Problem with Monkey Island Special Edition

Well, when I try to give some item (for example - coins to the guy selling the Monkey Island map) - I just can't. When I select "give to" and then "coins" or any other item I can't give it to anyone becuse their name doesen't pop up by the "give coins to _____" where the line is nothing is showed.


I also tryed this in F10 classic mode but it's the same.

But then I seen that I can only give items that are in fact VALID so it means it only accepts the actions that are proper. This makes the game so much easier... any way to disable it or I'm missing something.

Maybe posting this in the LucasArts support forum for the game will generate more replies (who knows, your question might have already been answered;)).
