If the downloads didn't work, will the DVD? (ToMI)

The downloads didn't work for me, all I could see was this:

And I could never get past that screen, I had to end the program in the task manager to quit. I'm hoping the DVD will work, do you think it will? And can you tell what the problem is by looking at that picture?

    first: the games are the same on the DVD.
    second: Other users had this problem too. (Laptops with integrated GPU)

    1: Not quite true, from what I gather the DVD-versions will be upgraded versions of the downloads (with Earl Boen, bugfixes etc.)

    Wheter or not these upgraded versions will be available for download (with the exclusion of 101 Earl Boen version) is unknown (well, to me)...

    Excuse my ignorance, but what's up with "Earl Boen version"?

    The voiceover from 101's LeChuck is redone by Earl Boen, the voice actor for him in SoMI:SE, CMI, EMI and chapter 4 and 5 of ToMI.

    Mac's version already have it, but PC's still have the placeholder...
