Mac: TOMI saved game corrupt?

Nipperkin gave me a map to go see Deep Gut. I quit the game to come back to it later. Now whenever I load the save file, my character doesn't appear and I can't move. Clicking on things still lets me look at them but neither Guybrush nor Nipperkin appear (I'm outside the newspaper office.) Help!

    Can you attach a save game?

    Actually, I know a fix for this. Open up your save, open up inventory and then look at that map again. After looking at the map, Guybrush should be visible again.
