Oh come on, Morgan isn't nearly that thin! Remember. Fatty thighs, man. Fatty thighs.

Yeah, the proportions are wrong. It's a neat sprite but it's using ToMI-like proportions, while characters in LCR are more squished and wide. Even the skeletons are bigger than this Morgan.

    I repeat:

I tried to do a better Morgan sprite in Monkey Island style, and when I failed, I went with that guy's sprite. Then I realized she was at a higher resolution and therefore out of place, so I shrunk the sprite and enlarged it again to make it fit better. Alas, my spriting talent is strictly limited to Zelda Oracle style.

Just because it's not yours doesn't mean we can't comment on it, you know.

That's fine, I just sort of got the impression that the comments were directed towards me, though now that I look back at them, I blame that entirely on Fawful.

Besides, just because your comments on it aren't directed at me doesn't mean I can't provide background on how the image came about or where my actual spriting talent lies.

Speaking of which, I originally posted it in the Disturbing Fanart Thread about four months ago.

Yeah, I remember seeing it there.
There aren't enough pictures of males over there. They turned most of the males into sexy females version, but not really the opposite (I only remember a male Elaine)... Although I guess there aren't that many females in Monkey Island to begin with.

I don't think it's her thighs as much as it is her Hartman Hips.

I think that chest is just for fun... and not actually something you are getting...
Would it justify a 20$ more expensive shipping, it it didn't come in a chest?
  • edited March 2010
I am pretty sure they mentioned the Deluxe being shipped for that price was a bug. Try it now, it should be lower...

The invoice now reads ToMI Deluxe Edition and also ToMI Deluxe Edition Package. The invoice says that it is $0.00. Does this mean we are getting some kind of chest now?
  • edited March 2010
I heard we get a cardboard box kind of thing.

Anyway, yeah, the invoice seems changed from listing each individual item to "package". That just means all the goods inside it though.

I think that's just streamlining the invoice, possibly for the benefit of the shipping company. "Package" has just replaced the list of individual items for $0, since a person that gets one of the free items is getting them all.

I reckon this is kind of like a case file, and it won't be around forever.

I think "ToMI Deluxe Edition" is the DVD with the Steve Purcell cover, and "ToMI Deluxe Edition package" is all the goodies.

Paper Chest anyone? I didn't test it yet, since my darn printer is out of ink again.

Actually, that was due to the resolution of the game, and not so much the realistic proportions of the characters. Since the backgrounds were squished into a 320 by 200 resolution, the characters had to be made to fit into the background. At least that's how I see it.

I saw it wasn't your Morgan sprite; I meant that the one you used was no good. Morgan in MI2 style would probably not look much like Morgan from Tales anyway, outside of her skin color, hair, and clothing. Elaine definitely looks different; it's just a matter of taking the character and recreating her in a different style using her most defining features. Elaine had striking red hair, and often wore adventurous clothing, while Morgan has dark skin and Hartman hips :D and tends to wear Spanish clothing and armor, akin to Governor Phatt's guard. And now I'm off to recreate her in MI2 style, and it's all your fault.

BTW, nice Team Fortress 2 sprites.

I saw the title of this thread and my heart skipped a beat!

Er... sure. Did I say anything that made it sound like I was saying otherwise? I didn't talk about the why, only the end result. I have no idea why that is, you might be right but I'm not sure if that changes anything...

Good one Spadge. I'd recommend blowing it up to A3, and making it out of card, if you want it to hold anything reasonable. :)

I am so printing that on A3 cardstock if I don't get a chest with my goodies!:D
