    You liked Star trek III: The search for spock? The only reason i liked it was because it had Doc Brown in it!

    Also, no V for Vendetta? (though maybe that doesn't even count as sci-fi but that's what everyone lists it as)

    I still discredit District 9 for losing the documentry format about 30 minutes in and picking it up 5 minutes from the end suddenly.

    Hate me, but I don't think Tron's that great. The new movie looks neat though.

    The thread title you mean?
    Then you could have edited it to "sorted by genre", this way there wouldn't have been a contradiction between "good movies" (plural) and "its" (singular).

    Of course, if you want to nitpick, they're not "sorted by genre" since they're ALL the same genre. But I think taumel was expecting people to add more movies, probably of different genres, which would explain it.

    Props to you, taumel, for mentioning Brazil, but I have to take points away for leaving out Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow.

    I think maybe it was more appreciated for its time, but I dunno. Did you ever play the game? It's actually pretty good.

    I think this is appropriate for this thread: periodic table of sci-fi film & television

    Inspired by the other threads i wanted to put together a list of the sf films i liked the most. In the beginning i was progressing very quickly so that i wondered if i could make it up to 100 as well, which then took longer than expected. Obviously the list contains stronger and weaker movies but those were the best 100+x films i could think of in the time i did it.

    @Friar
    As written in the other thread already i liked the first the most but if you put together a list of this length i think those i named qualify as well.

    @PecanBlue
    Same as above and i don't like Vendetta.

    @nikasaur
    Thanks, it was a typo. I would have changed the title as well but i guess you can't, right?

    @StLuisRibs
    Whilst District 9 for sure isn't perfect it's one of the better recent sf movies.

    @GiantTope
    I think TRON is an awesome movie but you have to set it into context to the time it was beeing produced, i still like it a lot.

    @avistew
    Yep, i thought maybe others would like to add their filmlists of certain genres as well (fantasy, thriller, anime, ...).

    @Secret Fawful
    Forgot about this one.

    @corruptbiggins
    Nice idea but a part of the reason i did the list also was that i couldn't find a pleasing one. Maybe someone find's it useful and can pickup a enjoyful movie to watch.

    Moon??? Serenity???

    This must be a gratuitous oversight.

    I haven't seen Moon yet (like Cargo). Is it good? As for Serenity, not my cup of tea.

    But i forgot Watchmen and The Jacket.
