The Map!

edited March 2010 in Sam & Max
Noticed in one of the demo videos that we finally have a map!

I've missed that little fella... Strong Bad's map just wasn't quite up to scratch :p

Some of the new tech looks great, perhaps nearly enough to make up for losing point & click ... nearly :p But yeah, it's looking like a great game anyway, and I can't wait!

No I meant there will be.

Oh. LOL! Now I get your meaning :)

    Winslow is their new driver?
  • edited March 2010
maybe they traded in the desoto for some sort of yacht like thing and hired winslow
  • edited March 2010
I think Winslow is more than qualified to navigate a Desoto.

Winslow: "Point at the map, sir"
    Sam points at the map.
Winslow: "I can't see where you're pointing, sir. Maybe if your bunny thing would take it OUT of his stomach?"

Obviously he's pointing at Max's stomach. Silly Winslow.

Journey into the inside of a max, eh? That could be a nice puzzle.

I have now decided this would be the greatest crossover ever.

That Sam & Max icon on the map made me think of Hit the Road?

That would be because it's from the Hit the Road floaty pen:

The were sold through The Adventurer for a while after Hit the Road came out. So I don't know, maybe eBay.

I hope snucky's is a destination... That place gave me the feeling of a great road trip in the very first game.... what road trip is complete without trips to roadside convenient stores with nasty food and bathrooms that has a key you have to ask for... and travel games like CAR BOMB!

I love that map. Central Park becomes "Some Square Park", and I shudder to think what happened to Brooklyn.
  • edited March 2010
LOL yeah lets hear it for Hell's Pantry.... I hope there are some Irishmen there.

    Ooooooooh welcome back map!

Awesome! Hopefully this means less travel to 'base' this season. Although the classic office must stay :)

Are Lucasarts involved in this game? If so, we may get appearances from Hit the Road or even from Bernard of Snuckys (and, of course, Maniac Mansion and DOTT) fame

I really love Forgotten Island. It gives me a major Ghostbusters vibe for some reason; probably because of the island in the Video Game.

As far as humor I keep chuckling at Body Disposal and Soiled Garment District. Wow, I am dark.

    Brooklyn Wastes...

And brooklyn is mentioned in the quicklook video, something along the lines of "If Skun'k'ape reaches brooklyn, we're all doomed"...

Kinda makes me hope for some post-apocalypticish location, which could be pretty fun.

I think he said the Bronx, didn't he? Maybe I'm remembering it wrong.

    And i think you're right.
    Not quite awake yet

Still, the name on the map does have that kinda vibe, and it still could be cool.
