Holy shit, i've just seen this for the very first time!!! Kudos @Laserschwert!

Ohohohohhhh how much i would love to see another science fiction adventure with such a tonality,
feeling, story, characters, setting, atmosphere, music and steering (hehe :O). Hahhh, The DIG simply
is the best adventure ever made, by humans, on earth, in this solar system. LucasArts should make a
second edition of this one, maybe one with the old story where the Japanese astronaut is a part of
the team.

"Hey universe, can you hear me?! There exist so many stupid successors of games and films.
Can't we have a good second part of this one?!"

I don't get to find the signature on that drawing, but it says "Drew Struzan" to me...

I like, a lot. I'd frame this and put it in my soon-to-be games room

I still need to play this game. It's been sitting on my Steam games list, all cold and lonely.

It's probably Bill Eaken. Maybe not, but didn't he do the front cover to the game?

    Yeah, Eaken made this beauty:

But Chorney did the painting for the advertisement. You should check my poster thread from time to time ;)

    That was a great game.

I love those posters, but i wan't so keen on the actual game. Sure it was innovative, and a nice concept but for some reason, i just didn't like it. Maybe it was something to do with me not being able to relate to anything there, as i experienced a similair feeling when i reached Atlantis in Indianna Jones.

I will go back to it someday though I'm only about 3 hours in (as i recall, i went in a giant hamsterball).

I loved getting to this alien planet as well as beeing there. An amazing atmopshere and so beautiful coloured scenes with such wonderful music. I never experienced this so intensive in a game before The DIG. And compared to Atlantis this is such a warm place. A masterpiece not only in the history of adventure games and btw. it's very interesting reading about the difficulties this game had to go through. And i think you feel this when playing the game. It has a certain depth which other adventures are lacking.

I love The Dig. Do wonder where Sean Clark is now.

I once got curious about this as well and if i remember correctly he worked as a producer on several smaller games.

    Yeah, Eaken made this beauty:

Wha? Who's the fourth person? In my cover of The Dig there's only three persons.
  • edited March 2010
Toshi Olema, the fourth japanese member from Brian Moriarty's version.

I actually don't really like that poster.
I think the characters look really off model.

Hey, Telltale, if you ever make a serious game and can't get Steve Purcell to do the cover art, you know who you should hire. He can do cartoony as well.

    EDIT:

He's now one of my favorite guys ever.

And most important, he can paint Harrison Ford as well! :O)
