Hello,

What would it take for you guys to port everything to psp.

Port everything? That's a pretty big request.
How are portables better for point and click? Think about it! When playing a point and click (or any adventure game) you need to concentrate, immerse yourself in the world. Remembering items and key points in the game is essential, and if you are trying to play the game while on the bus or something, it would be disastrous.

In all honesty, most adventure gamers don't even play on portable consoles. Don't say they will make "loads" from it simply because you might buy it.

Edit: Just try playing MYST on nintendo DS, it is so bad it will give you nightmares. As much as I love adventure games, they don't do well on portables. Portable versions of MYST and SYBERIA were both unsuccessful in sales, and dropped to $20 pretty quickly.

Whilst i think handhelds would be a good idea, it's better suited to the DS/ipad. Considering they'd basically have to remake the game anyway (as the visuals are above the PSP/DS/iphone (well probably for taht one)'s capabilities), they may aswell go for one with similair potential for controls, and with the largest market segments.

And Adventure games do sell on portables. Broken Sword sold well, as did Phoenix wright (well, thats kinda a portable adventure), and i'm told Monkey island sold very well on the iphone.

Apple doesn't reveal the sales numbers for specific apps, so whoever told you about the iPod version of Monkey Island doing well was lying.

When I wrote my reply to this topic, I completely forgot that you were talking about a PSP version. That only makes things worse! The DS and iPod Touch have touch screens (which I assumed was why you thought adventure games were good on handhelds), but the PSP has incredibly slow loading times and short battery life, both of which ruin any adventure game.
