Dear Telltale
Hello, Telltale. How have you been? You look really nice in that dress. I would like very much to lick you in the face.
Anyway, skipping ahead of pleasantries, we, the fans, have decided that it would be magnificently wonderful if there was a way we could display our gender on the forums using a technique better than the one we use now (which is NSFW pictures).
It would be positively radical and sick if there was a field somewhere under our avatars (much like "Location:" and the post counter) which helped us display gender.
Yours warmly and tenderly, the fans.

I've missed you.
That would work with "sex", but just sound stupid with "gender".
I was assuming we'd go with "sex" since you can't make as many jokes out of "gender". Plus a few of you guys had a long discussion about it a month ago, and you seemed pretty set against gender as a designation and forumites always come first, right?
Fix'd, only not because I doubt this idea will come to pass.
Either way I think I'd feel best about a blank field. That is, we can fill the field but also the field's name. If that's possible that would be great for several reasons:
- people could choose whichever word they prefer for sex/gender/whatever
- the field could be used for other things one considers important but that have been left out or overlooked as a field.
What do you think? (And is that feasible, anyways?)
Hay is banned for not knowing how to avoid using pronouns.
It usually is possible, but it can sometimes make you sound really impersonal, which is annoying. For instance, saying "hayden should be banned because they suck lolol" sounds less warm and lovely than "hayden should be banned because he sucks lolol"
Just more reason to add a gender field... ^_^
"they" is a pronoun too.
"hayden should be banned for sucking" would be a possible version without pronouns.
Oh, I thought you were just talking about gender-specific pronouns.
Not using pronouns at all can really limit you sometimes. Either way, it's easier to use them than to not use them
Oh, okay, yeah sure. Leave me out, I wasn't involved. I wasn't the one who caused this script to exist in the first place...
Writers never get much credit.
Yeah, the stinkin' actors get all the glory.
I know this seems irrelevant, but that reminds me of the Mad World cover that was released with Donnie Darko. Everyone was accrediting it to Gary Jules because he sang, but it was Michael Andrews who rewrote it and completely changed how it sounded. *folds arms*
