Anyone else feel this way?
I haven't bought Devil's Playhouse yet, so I'm sort of afraid of going to the Sam & Max forum and risk getting spoilered. I recall someone starting a thread in the ToMI forum that had
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else was avoiding that forum like the plague until they buy the game?

The only reason I've been avoiding that forum is because I'm bored of all the iPad threads.
Might be an idea to avoid any thread to do with the iPad though, just in case. They're probably the most likely threads to have spoilers in.
Surprisingly, these have been free of spoilery discussion thus far. But your point stands until the release goes wide in seven days. You never know, after all ...
6 days left... [Quest log updated]
Let's hope we succeed this one!
I wish I could undo the memory. The Pain... The PAIN.
Has the iPad sold that many units yet? It might just be unlikely that any forum member has an iPad. I could be insanely wrong, though.
450,000 apparently.
Some are crazy enough to do so though...
(And the smartass in me can't help but feel that releasing later could have helped with both. But hey, they couldn't have known, and maybe it was worth it anyways.)
I know, hence the "maybe it was worth it anyways". I'm not sure if the advantages of being a launch title ended up worthwhile, seeing all the complaining that resulted from it, is what I meant. But I don't have the figures. (Actually, there probably aren't figures. It's not like we can compare sales if it's available at launch and sales if it isn't, considering we can only have one of the two at once).
If they want to update the software afterward, they can, but getting the opportunity to release software for a hardware device with as much hype as the iPad... that is something which would be an unfortunate opportunity to pass up. Even considering that I think the iPad is just a big iPod Touch with 3G, and I'll stand by my Kindle any day when comparing ebook readers, I still understand that TTG is a business so it's in their best interest to take advantage of the situation if it can earn them a profit.
I think they were just a bit too rushed by the iPad's launch date to be able to finish the project properly. I imagine the PC version will be much better, since they have more time with it (and like I said, they can update the iPad version later once they work out the bugs.)
