I don't really care about the episode itself, I only caught the last act. However, the preview for the next has me PUMPED.

    BRITISH.
    SOLDIER.
    DALEKS.

    Also, thread title fail.

You can really tell that it's Moffat at the helm now, rather than RTD. The episode certainly had a different, darker vibe to it. Did he write this one, or just oversee it?

Yeah, Moffat was the writer. Ooh, I don't know where to start with this one. :p

The characters are developing really nicely. The new Doctor has a lovely demeanor, and Amy got to prove herself as a worthy companion. The story was a good complex mix of futuristic, scary and sweet/emotional.

I was pretty freaked out by the rotating heads. Oh and when the "smilers" stood up and came out of the booths! How scary was that?? Moffat does suspense very well ("Blink" remains one of my all-time favourite episodes).

I think they were a bit heavy-handed with the last star whale / last Time Lord parallel - yes we get it already! It was still very sweet though. I was a weeny bit teary at the end.

What do you guys think of the new TARDIS interior? I generally like the warmer tones, they seem to suit this Doctor's personality. Kind of gives the feel of a professor's office, one that might have a fireplace and be filled with old books. Although I don't much like the walls... with the golden-yellow colour and all those holes, it looks a bit like they're inside a block of Swiss cheese. :p

I don't know if it's because it's all snazzy in HD, but i greatly prefer it other the 9th/10th doctors tardis. I never thought it needed replacing, but looking back, it just seems dated...

I like the new interior, although I slightly miss the "organicness" of the old one - it felt like an actual living thing rather than just a room. The best thing about the new one is that it feels very Jules Verne-ish, if that makes any sense. It certainly suits the new Doctor.

I wonder why they make Oz wait so long for it? I mean, once the episode has aired on the BBC and it's up on iPlayer, surely there's no reason why they can't get it on iView.
