What do you do with prints from TTG? (pics welcome)

edited September 2010 in General Chat
I currently own the Tales of Monkey Island print (unsigned, unfortunately) and have the Sam and Max print (signed, yay!) on the way. I was just wondering what you guys have done with your prints that you have ordered. Currently, I still have my ToMI print in the poster tube because I don't want to hang it up with push-pins and haven't decided what to do yet.

I haven't got mine yet, but I'm sure that I'd just take them out every now and again and stare at them with a sense of satisfaction and awe.

I'm planning to frame them and then hang them somewhere in my department. There's a wall which is pretty much naked by now and need some colors.

I got my signed mi print framed and hung in my room. Feels good man.

Once I get around to it/get money for it, I'll get a piratey frame for it.

My signed Sam and Max Season One poster print is on my wall, in a frame. It looks quite sharp. I should post a picture later, I guess?
  • edited April 2010
I only have one and it's from the Anniversary Edition of Sam and Max: Season One so it's just folded up and back in the box. The last time I took a great poster out of the box it got torn in half, and that was an original Genesis Sonic the Hedgehog 2 poster. :(

need to get a frame for my ToMI print. Gonna hang it on the wall behind my computer.

Frame it! That's what I did with my TOMI print, now it's hanging just above my computer!

an update to my previous post, I got myself a frame earlier today (technically yesterday in this part of the world but that's a minor quibble) so I thought I'd share a (crappy) photo of it.

Both Sam & Max print and ToMI print are signed, framed, and up next to my bed on the wall. The ToMI poster looks especially nice with my room, while the Sam and Max poster was bought to match with it since I had to get two framed pictures for the big wall, because one alone looked bad. I took down my (not matching) Nightmare Before Christmas posters off the same wall just to put these up.

Unfortunately dadster is rennovating the office where my studio and all my tools are so he hid my camera somewhere and my stupid new cell phone didn't come with a USB adapter so I can't take my photos out of there yet, so all I can take is a crappy webcam photo of where they are hanging right now:

Though you get the general point.

Wow, all 4 posters, all signed. ENVIOUS I only have two and I need frames SOON
  • edited April 2010
I'm horribly jealous, except that I remember that I don't have a ton of wall space and have yet to put up the stuff I already have.

    It's signed, too.

For "LeChuck", I spent a solid month in my studio painting that in oils on a two by three foot canvas. It was exhausting but very satisfying. There's not really another piece in my portfolio anything like it before or since, which is why it still hangs in my office in its garish pirate frame.

I think there needs to be a picture of this in this thread.

I'm mostly jealous of the cardboard box.

    And here it is:

The left one is a scan from the painting in Surfing the Highway.
The right one isn't anything by Telltale, but I just love the Marx Brothers. ^^

    @Laserschwert
Wow, the framed one looks cool! Beside of this i have no real useage for TTG prints, just further dust catchers. I'm fine with my Paul Klee, a painting i did on my own and one of my friend. Beside of these, i more prefer empty spaces. I prefer staring at them until some pictures materialize.

That's a fantastic frame for that painting! It's almost like part of the ship.

Thanks. That's brilliant work. I already found that a while ago, and gave it a thumbs-up in StumbleUpon right after picking my jaw up from the floor :). But I'm not sure how to get that printed as a poster, for a reasonable price.
Oh hey, Joop, is that MI poster Laserschwert's, and if so, how and where did you have it printed?
    Here's a picture of Steve's framed original:
I know the word is overused, but that is awesome.

No, that's not the one that Laserschwert's made.
I made this one even before the Lucas Arts poster thread in the Mixnmojo forums.
It's not as good as Laserschwert's though, I've been meaning to have it reprinted.
Oh, and I had it printed by my aunt, who works at a printer. (It's free for mee.)

hmmm... i dont know if you're allowed to do that... Telltale didn't respond well to my question about printing these off, and that's completely different, but still...

If you have some image editing skills, THIS might be helpful.

Wow, when did you get that?

I got it when I visited the TTG office in 2006 when they were still working on Sam and Max season one. :)
  • edited May 2010
My signed print is still on backorder, but when I get it, I intend framing it.

I have been looking for those first two posters for ages. Where is the best place to get them printed you think?
  • edited May 2010
I need to buy some nice frames for mine.... I have them in the tube still.

I got some frames today.... pardon the messy desk top that is visible in frame

I could never get a picture of my cats so close to each other without it being a picture of my cats fighting :p

Hee, today i have taken my two prints :-).

I think my ToMI print is alone on the wall :-(. But in future that will be changed ^^.
