Sam & Max 301: weird graphics filter on a Mac?

edited April 2010 in Game Support
I have this weird snow-interference effect on my game.
The game doesn't look crisp at all, in other words, it's like a filter, kind of like the Mass Effect 1 one.

Mac version.
What should I try?

    Can you upload a screenshot?
What exact model is your Mac, specifically what graphics chip?
Also try a damp cloth until i have a better idea... :p

And this picture uploaded by another user with the same problem will give you the idea.

Of course, it's not just in the intro, it's in-game when you are running around too.

I hadn't started the game yet, but i just took a quick look at the intro (on PC in 1920x1200 Q9).
I hope it's off later in the game.

I think that's for cinematic effect.

Yeah, it's to give it a 1970s cinematic feel. It's intentional.

    well, it sucks
    =P

    Can I disable it somehow?

    Intentional??

Either you simulate a full cinematic effect (with scratches and blotches) or nothing. As it is, it's looks like an graphic glitch or an 256 color gif animation... I have no cinematic feeling, if I see these flickering pixels...

Yes, I'm bugged by the film grain effect too, it would be nice to be able to set it off, it's just annoying and my eyes tire much faster...

I think if you turn down the graphics level to level 6, it disables the filter.

    Not a great solution, but...
