[S&M3] No sound under Windows 7 64-bit

I'm at a loss here. The game installs fine and launches fine (love the new launcher, by the way), but there's no in-game sound at all.
DirectX is updated to the latest rev., and a ton of other Windows games have sound.

    Do you have any other sound devices besides your sound card, like headsets or HDMI outputs? If so, make sure your soundcard is set as the default sound device under Win7's playback options, or try disabling those other outputs via Device Manager...

    Check, while running the game, if it is muted in the windows mixer for some obscure reason. Also check the in-game volume settings.

    It doesn't hurt to install the latest Realtek HDA Driver as well.
