Crashing when using telephone...

The first time I got the (toy) telephone, my game worked fine. The intro part? Ya, I got past that with no problems.

Now, after I get the (toy) telephone a second time, my game crashes when I click on any number on the phone!
and I can't leave the spaceship because the brain won't let me!


Please, what in the hell is wrong? I'm on the Steam version.

    My guess is because it fails to properly load the proper one-time cutscene that is supposed to run then...

    Did you try a checking the file ("checking integrity of gamefiles" or whatever it's called in English) or turning down the graphics a lot lower?
