Fable 2 - Got to the end of the game, the story had finally gotten interesting, and apparently that was the end. Felt robbed.
Final Fantasy XII - Just couldn't get into it, tried really hard to.

    This shouldn't be too hard.

    Curse of Monkey Island
    Fallout 3
    Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
    Too Human
    Bioshock

And...sadly, KOTOR II. Not because it was poorly conceived, but because it was rushed out the door by LucasArts to come out in time for Christmas. Because it was forced to ship without an ending, and with so many things throughout just...missing. This is the biggest disappointment on the list simply because, unlike the other titles above, the design itself wasn't shallow and uninspired from the start. There were great things here.

    Curse of Monkey Island.

    wat.

Iron man - It's control scheme was first person shooter plus flying it was awkward and it's story wasnt as good as the movie

Rayman: Hoodlums Revenge - It played well but was very short and to dang easy.

I fail to see how it is so disappointing... but ok.

I love spiderman 2, 3 and that cell shaded one where you play as venom (can't remember what it was called). I remember just swinging around aimlessly... it was pretty awesome.

Sonic Heroes (keep in mind this is the first Sonic game I've played since the Master System 2) and Sonic 2006 (I really wish I picked a better game when I got my PlayStation 3) the moral of the story is to never put your hopes up for a Sonic game.

Ugh, yes. I've never played an Adventure Company title that was particularly enjoyable. I'd like to try Treasure Island, but fear further disappointment. :(

Oh, right. I thought you said "Cursive Men Keep Eye-hand". I was like "what does that mean". My bad.

Timeshift - I expected so much more from such an interesting idea.

Keepsake - What a piece of garbage. And the most awfully directed voice acting I've ever heard. Beautiful graphics, everything else sucks.

Halo Series - For a hyped up game the gameplay is pretty basic and they're all exactly the same.

Prey - I was looking forward to this but it just doesn't suck me in like I thought it would.

Zelda Phantom Hourglass - What a piece of garbage. I'm not going anywhere near any more toon Zeldas (that includes Spirit Tracks).

Every Sonic game after Sonic Adventure 2 - My goodness what a load of crap. Although I've heard some good things about Unleashed. BTW, isn't Sonic '06 a 360 only title?

Star Trek: Secret of Vulcan Fury - Only because it was never released.

Disappointing is a hard thing to clarify. Though some games which failed to meet my hopes or expectations include:

Unreal Tournament 3, it simply feels wrong, it just didn't satisfy that UT itch.

The Secret of Monkey Island, it simply doesn't stand up as well as the later Lucasarts games, it doesn't have great pacing. Maybe this is due to the fact I played the special edition, though neither art style is particularly special, the writing felt more immature than the later games. None of this is to say it isn't a good game, it is.

    Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

Especially on the Wii, it was just a waggle-fest and you couldn't really explore the levels. It was pretty much straight-ahead slash everyone... yawn.

:(. Yeah. Have you checked out our "Content Restoration Mod"? While it can't undo the damage LA did it does add some nice stuff back in the game, like the HK-Factory which is just downright brilliant...
    (Curse you LA!)

As for my own titles, see the list I made for "most overrated game" (excluding the "overratted" section ;))...

Which restoration mod? I've played through one, and it vastly improves the experience. I'm still somewhat naively waiting for the Team GizkaDashus mod.

I created a photo realistic version of myself Inside the game, complete with my tattoos & my real life ring attire (thanks in no small part to the new paint tool). I couldn't be any further from let down if I tried.

I should also add that recreating classic attires in superstar threads was a blast. Orton's Brue, Triple H's Purple, Taker's Purple gloves & Edge's E&C Green being my favorites.... & don't even get me started on my originals (Hot pink & white Miz or Blue Mandust anyone?)

    Bioshock

You are surely right with that , before I buy the game I was so exciting about bioshock , after I play it I was too disappointing about it ..

Donkey Kong: Barrel Blast. I thought to myself before and thought this game would be very unique, but it turns out it's repetative, annoying, and short.

It was great... for a couple of hours.

Scribblenauts was not that bad of a game. It could be that Im looking mainlt at how hard it was to make this game(you go through dictionarys for words and program them accordingly who knows how many times) Ill admit it could have been better. But hey they are making a sequal which might(will) be better(you get to add adjectives to words to make wierd objects like metalic tree)

Also Sonic 06 I actually like the newer sonic games but this one was just not me.

I like Scriblenauts, even if it is only for the fact that I get the third Doctor when typing Doctor Who

Pirates of Vooju Island. Hated the voice acting, hated the lag, and hated the fact that you can't toggle graphic quality to reduce the lag.

Sonic Rush. I really liked the Sonic Advance games but this was just very very average.

To some extent The Force Unleashed. I enjoyed playing it but it looked AMAZING in all the previews. The PC version (and I suspect 360+PS3 too) suffers from unclear objectives leaving you running around wondering what you're supposed to be doing.

    the game of LIFE!

    game-of-life.jpg
  • edited April 2010
I used to love The Game of Life as a kid, but now I'm pretty against the whole idea. Life is shown more as a path to be followed to certain "normal" goals, and you even are trying to race to each milestone so you can retire earlier. Like everything before retirement is a competition to get to retirement faster, while collecting trophies like a wife and a house and the kids you need to have to really get through life. It's so...normative.
  • edited April 2010
It's a board game. If anyone takes life lessons from any movie, video game, board game, tv show, or whatever then they're a moron and deserve what they'll get for it.
  • edited April 2010
I don't know that game but it doesn't sound that great.
I liked Stratego as a kid. I know, that has nothing to do with anything.

    Shadow the Hedgehog. (boring)

Starfox Adventures. (far too geared for children, and not enough space battles)

Zelda: Four Swords Adventures [too linear, world design is broken up into sections instead of one big map, can't carry more than one secondary item (eg. must give up boomerang to carry bombs)]

Final Fantasy X (too linear, major plot elements given away too early, free roaming exploration only available at end of the game with very few rewards for backtracking/exploring by then, no numeric experience levels, no obvious difference in weapon upgrades besides number of junction slots, ingame menu background colors are ugly.)
