And anyway, if there was an actual statistical study done about which IP fans would most like TTG to make a game from, who and how many people were included in the statistical sample? What sort of questions were they surveyed with? You can't just say "everyone who plays TTG games" because I'm certain a very small percentage, if any at all, of people from these forums were polled with unbiased questions as to which IP they wanted. I certainly wasn't and I think the show Lost is boring.
It was one of those web surveys. Do you remember the one they did that gave you Telltale Texas Hold 'Em for free if you finished it? Because if you remember that one, it was like that. It asked a lot of questions, like "Which of these phrases is most attractive to you" followed by what were obviously a bunch of possible phrases to go on things like banner ads and trailers for The Devil's Playhouse. It also asked what our favorite shows, movies, games, et cetera are. It also tried to pick our brains for franchises that we might want to see as Telltale games. I'm not sure if Lost was a multiple choice option or if it was of the fill-in-the-blank variety. In the latter case, I can see Lost winning. It has a fanbase of people who do genuinely think of it as the best show on television, and if you are a Lost fan it seems to generally be at or near the top of the list more commonly than other shows.
Well, if it *was* indeed that one, there should be both intelligence from TTG fans (us, 15%) and non-TTG fans (the other ones, episode).
So in that case... was TTG's fanbase answer also "Lost", or something completely different (which I suspect).
I hardly doubt they put both on a pile to get results out, if so, why the difference between the bases?

well, considering the number of people who have posted on this thread with responses like "is Lost an American thing?" I would think TTG ought to make a game from an IP that is more accessible worldwide.
I still say Lost is boring. It's like a primetime sci-fi soap opera.

*shakes head*
Have you ever watched Lost?
Calling Lost a "science fiction soap" is totally ridiculous and unfair to its legacy now that its soon wrapping up after 6 solid seasons. I would agree with you to certain degree by calling it a soap if they decided to stretch it out for 10-20 seasons. Thank god they didn't.
Anywhoo.. Your argument that Lost shouldn't be made into an adventuregame because its a "primetime sci-fi soap opera" is also very irrelevant.
Why?
Look at this from another angle; If they televised a drama adventuregame like "The Longest Journey".. Don't you think that would become more of a sci-fi soap than anything?
Do you see my point? "The Longest Journey" is amazing and there is no way people could predict how Lost would look like it were made in the same format.
