Cant load Penal zone on ps3

i downloaded the demo of penal zone then tried to run it
it said it need to update to 1.01 which i accepted it said please wait then restarted the console without updating
i also tried buying the full game from the store but its doing exactly the same!
i have recently updated the ps3 to v3.30 i dont if thats effecting it or not
