I feel like you're all sick of me...

edited May 2010 in General Chat
Like I'm posting WAY too much... But I'm just bored and excited about season 3.

However it's more likely no one even cares. I am here a lot though recently...

Look at my post count, then look at my join date. Then take into consideration that I didn't start posting until Halloween. I'm averaging 250 posts a month since I started here. Compared to that, I think you're okay.

Anyway, I've honestly barely noticed you at all, so I don't think you have anything to worry about, unless you're an invisophobe.

Yes, I did just make up "invisophobe".

Wow your posting rivals the folks in Incoherent Babbling of adult swim. :D [ok maybe that's an exaggeration]

    duly noted.

I'm just one of those people where when I see a thread with my name in the 'replied to by' field I think "oh gawd what the hell did I write? hopefully nothing too embarassing" cause half the time I don't even remember. :)
  • edited May 2010
Oh, don't worry. We've all had our share of ridiculous posts. Hell, if anything, acting like a crazy person will actually improve your reputation around here. I mean, just look at Avistew.

This is how the thread title looks on my index page:

    Attachment not found.

    I thought, "Yeah, that's a pretty fair assessment." :p

Wow someone had some free time on their hands. :D

I thought Avistew was just crazy about grammar, I may have to read her posts a little more carefully from now on. : )

Yeah, I do notice the crazy ones more.
So, if you want fame, you know what you have to do.
My post count would be a whole lot higher I think, but I'd rather just lurk in the shadows. :)
  • edited May 2010
I used to lurk... until about three weeks ago.
  • edited May 2010
I achieved fame at a different message board so I don't mind takin a backseat here on the TT forums.

I just throw in my two cents and let it be. :)

Meh. if there's something I've learned, its that most users appreciate most anything you say on here, apart from stuff like "F1RST!!1!", and all that crap.

In actuality, I'm pretty sure that the users with the higher post counts get featured on some "Credits" section of the (good) DVDs Telltale produces. Not sure about S&M S1, but I know there's one on S&M S2 and SBCG4AP DVDs, probably not one on W&G, and hopefully one on the ToMI DVD.

So, you might actually want to post MORE!
  • edited May 2010
Oh, great, as if I wasn't anticipating the Tales DVD enough, you had to go and remind me about that. Now the next few weeks are really going to be hell.

Please please please please please please please please please please please please please...

Or not! Leaves more space on the list for me!

Anyway, if you're worrieed about people thinking you post too much, try spreading out the areas you visit more. Each subforum seems to have a unique group of main posters. I don't travel into the others nearly as much as General these days.

Yes. Also; who the hell are you? :p

Meh, just look at my own date and postcount... :(

Actually, you're allowed to gloat at being the first to download/notice the new game, atleast that was the case with the 301 wait...
  • edited May 2010
You're also allowed to feel special for being the first to post a thread on a big news topic, even though everyone's so caught up in the news that nobody cares who created the thread. But at least you feel special.

Though in my case, it meant that I got to post way more tags than everybody else when the thread inevitably derailed. Seriously, we started on the Tales DVD and ended up on doughnuts, with a detour at baby eating in between.

    God, I love this place.
  • edited May 2010
I doubt we're sick of you. Not unless you write a thread about Boobs, or mud slinging contests; then you're safe.
  • edited May 2010
Technically, nobody started the boobs thread, unless you count Secret Fawful posting that picture of Elaine that sparked the discussion, or Will splitting it and moving it.

Which just makes it funnier that Jen Kollic is credited as the creator.

Only time I've ever seen a 47 page thread split out of a conversation in another thread that got derailed.
  • edited May 2010
Yeah, man. I'm sick of you, get the hell outta the forums.

Nah, just kidding, I can still bear you.
  • edited May 2010
self loathing that cant be fun, also while we are talking about post count join date ratio I am a better candidate for annoying people with their presence..... But I just assume you all love me so much it makes you ill.

Hey Catfish, does it help that I have no idea who you are?
  • edited May 2010
I don't know who you are either. Do you only post in the Sam & Max forum? I never go there...I'm only ever active in General and TMI forums. I used to go to the Puzzle Agent forum as well but that ended quick.

EDIT: I do notice you double post, though. I'd suggest just editing your post like I just did with this one instead of posting a new post. Double-posting clogs things up and makes you look obnoxious.

Oh, yeah, I remember gloating about being the first documented forum member to download The Penal Zone...

Well, that was important! It had to be said!

  • edited May 2010
I recognise everyone bar the OP. I'm happy enough to blend in :)
  • edited May 2010
I prefer posting in the general forum because the topics are more random and nobody really objects if the thread gets derailed. Either that, or they do object, but very very quietly.

I wonder if Im on the tales dvd too.

I'll just echo whats been said before and say: Trust me, Catfish, if you stepped on any toes, you'd know it. You're fine. Keep posting.

BTW I'm perfectly happy with being credited as the original creator of the boobs topic. ehehehe

I rarely visit the Sam&max part. In fact, i think my number of posts there is still in single digits! Most of my posts are spread between here, and the Monkey Island segment.
  • edited May 2010
I almost managed to make it to 1000 by posting exclusively in the Monkey Island forum. Eventually I branched out into the general forum, and when The Penal Zone came out, I had more to say in Sam and Max.

Due to your post I thought "Mmh, I wonder if I have reached 1,000 posts yet".
    Then I look.
Gazebo, galoshes and platypuses! I've posted almost 3,000 times! Why hasn't anyone stopped me yet?

Seriously, considering I wasn't really active before January, I think I have just scared myself a little.

Sorry, that word doesn't exist in the language we're using to communicate right now. Amateur, on the other hand, does., :p

    Yay, loanwords!
