It's not really hidden. Its a current bonus for PS3 players, soon-to-be bonus for PC users. If you have the PC version, I'd suggest waiting it out. Don't want to ruin the surprise!

Actually, you're correct. But to be more specsific; you get it after you completely finish off Episode 1.
Then you get a message after you watch the entire credits without skipping which will tell you to go to your map after you finish the opening squence and in the "Hidden Alley", you'll get the power.
Yes, on the left of Future Vision. Think of it's use as a red vision glasses which lets you see words you can't see without it. Only this version makes it so that you can see real hidden stuff.
