Any one here Mod JKA? Yoda's Hovel
I need help with a map, I just need some one who is confident making a small and simple terrain good for dueling.
LOL ignore the huge pot, details have not been worked through with the map really yet. Remember, the map had to be big enough for the player to move in and fit in. This image quality is still pretty bad.

Copy of Map file/ demo of map. If I got this right just extract all the files to your map folder.

I should also note that both ESP and ROTJ have the same hut outline inside, but that both huts are different on the outside. Also that details are different inside the huts between ROTJ and ESB. This hut follows more closely to the ESB hut, with ROTJ on the wall where the bed is located. The outside of the hut, which never really lines up with the inside in either movie was designed so that it could line up and still resemble both huts from both movies.
know it has size issues but the game has restrictions that i had to work around, I think the weakest part is the entrance way, door, as it transitions the outside to inside. I think the outside and inside both look fair, descent but because of certain size restrictions, and because the outside doesn't really line up with the inside in the real design, there's certain designing challenges. It's mostly truthful inside the "hovel" but because the movies change the hut, from film and film and because of actual design flaws it is a bit of a interpretation.

So, can't help with the map, sorry, but it looks like a good start.
That's of Modding legend! Dark Forces mod? Awesome!
Thanks for responding. I ended up just continuing it on my own. The learning curve isn't so bad yet...planning on having back ground jungle sounds in the map as well as a skybox.

Not very exciting, sadly.
I also wrote a comprehensive skinning tutorial, that was swiped by someone else and put online here;

I also have written a LEGO Star Wars skinning tutorial, but I've just realised it's offline at present (after changing web hosts). Might have to put that back online sometime (and reclaim my JO/JA tutorial).
Details are very important in maps. Anyone who worked with the DF team has had lots of recognition, even if not personally. That is a damn good team doing top of the modding community work. I got some one to help me, he's good but he hates compliments so I cant compliment him, he can't focus and becomes a ass hole with compliments, so he says.
Anyways, that's a good team to have been a part of. Everyone knows about the DF mod.
Found 3 of my old JO/JA skins;

Those are pretty damn good actually. I had a action figure just like the first skin. It was a Kenner Star Wars action figure, old school. You did a good job with those.
It's really cool to see people interpret Anakin Solo, as he is extremely powerful and a interesting character. It's too bad that he dies in the extended universe, he was the most powerful of all 3 children in his family.
Extended universe is so extensive though I don't know much about his character. All I know is that he went to Luke's academy and was one of his top students.
Thanks for sharing, I love looking at art work and these definitely have some flavor to them. I take it that you can handle compliments, unlike some people but if you try to bite my face off I'll think twice about it next time.
The modding community to JKA is huge, it's always good to see some one keeping it alive. The best Star Wars game I can think of that you can mod is Jedi Academy.
Actually, not to be too nerdy but as a minor major league star wars fan I listen to light saber battles while I do homework, while I drive and before I go to bed sometimes, it's my "music".
I guess that makes me strange too. Light saber battles have the coolest sound effects and the music in them is so appropriate. If you ever listen to one, they sound amazing.
If you're a fan boy you definitely need to see the movie "Fan Boys" and 'Ryan vs Dork man", "Troops" is really good too!
LOL, my social awkwardness is showing again, but at any rate, thanks!
