well Phoenix wright is a courtroom drama, but not your boring type, its over the top but in a good way, you look for evidence and bring them into court room, and if the sense the witness has a phoney story, you can Object...but i dont think im explaining it as good, ill put some links to some videos,

    the advert of the game

This video does pretty well at capturing the way Phoenix Wright stories go. But keep in mind that it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the way the PW gameplay works.

I highly highly highly recommend Phoenix Wright. It's got an incredible story, really fantastic characters, and it's absolutely hilarious. The characters are rich and develop throughout the story too, you really get attached to them. It also has probably one of the best localizations of any game I've ever played.

Basically if you like unique games, and you like adventure games (it's at least part adventure game, part dating-sim-without-the-dating, part it's own thing) then you really really should look into it.

    what's phoenix wright?

It a game thats half average adventure game, and half amazing lie detecting lawyer game. Basically, you go around hunting for clue, and questioning people for clues on you case and the plot, and then you use these in court to help proove your clients innocence. The court scenes basically involve you figuring out which piece of evidence to present at the right time, in order to get the testifier to slip-up, or to expose a hole.

It's actually pretty funny, and has some awesome music. In fact, they made a musical.

    It's a steal at £2.99

I wish there was a demo. I've already owned and played the games so I don't really feel like rebuying them, but I'd love to be able to try out the iPhone version just for the heck of it.

it is at a bargin price, $4.99 or £2.99, and instead of carrying your DS around, you can still play Phoenix wright on the move

There's also a fan-made musical in the works....one that has actually gotten the attention of Capcom (they've asked for a demo reel). If anyone wants to help, we definitely need more artists on the project!

    Let's see...here's the forum.
    http://www.megalomaniacalme.net/pwmusical/index.php

Here are some examples of their songs. These are actually like one or two years old, almost all of them have been updated since then (and with their official voice actors) but I don't think the newer versions are on youtube. Even the older versions are fantastic though.

A sampling of a bunch of the songs

    The Samurai Always Wins

    It's Gotta Be the Butz

    Justice For All (Reprise)

The musical (following the events of the first game, minus "Rise from the Ashes") has actually been performed at several conventions already, but the main plan has been to get artwork (stills, 2d animation, 3d, whatever works!) put to the music. Anyways yes we're always glad for more dedicated people to help out, especially in the art department!

It's nice, but they sing all at once too often and I have no clue what they're saying as a result.

Heh, that's kinda the idea of Samurai Always Wins. It's a courtroom, everyone's shouting at each other and it devolves into utter, total chaos. It's not like all their songs are like that. I wanted to find some of the nicer solos but they weren't on youtube. Plus, like I said, these aren't the finished songs by any means.

Are you familiar with Phoenix Wright though? A lot of this is much easier to understand if you know what's going on already, and without the context it's definitely not gonna be easy to understand.

Yeah, I've played all the games. It's not my first language though. And they sung at the same time in Justice for All too, and another of the song... Either way, they seem to do it often. And I briefly went on the forum when they discussed the sequels and people suggestions for lyrics had a lot of "(these two lines sung at the same time") kind of things.

I'm not saying it's necessarily bad, but it does make it harder to know what they're saying.

Ah, I see. Now it makes sense why that would be hard for you to follow along.
Justice for All is actually the reprise, though. The original song is sung with just Mia.

And the sequel has just started, everyone's throwing ideas around and whatnot. It's nothing official. You can probably go to the forums and offer that as constructive criticism though.
