What's the greatest number of times you've 'bought' a Telltale episode?

edited June 2010 in General Chat
So I was going through my game list on the Telltale website and noticed that I'd got 2 serial codes for 7 of the games I've bought, so I was wondering what is the highest number of serial codes you've got for a Telltale episode in my collection.

The reason I've put 'bought' in inverted commas in the title of the thread is the main reason I've got more than one serial code for a game is that I've had a free episode code, got the first episode in a season of games and then bought the entire season (or all the seasons in the case of Sam and Max), so technically although I own it twice, I only paid for it once.

I think the majority of us have two codes at the most, but I would guess that the maximum is three, and then only if you had acquired a season of Sam & Max the way you just described and then used the coupon for the complete collection to buy the other two.

I figured it would probably be something like that, but I was intrigued none the less.

Yeah, now you have me wondering whether anyone's managed to pull that one off and get three, or if it even works.

I have three serials for Ice Station Santa, two for Launch of the Screaming Narwhal and Dangeresque 3, and one for the rest.

I have three for Culture Shock, two for the rest of Sam and Max Season 1 (barring Abe Lincoln Must Die), and one for the rest.

Haha. So far nobody on the forum has managed to avoid this phenomenon

I bought the whole season of Season 2 of sam and max and all the TMI, and a few episodes of the first season of Sam and Max.

I have 3 codes for Ice Station Santa, 2 for Dangeresque 3 and normal codes for all the other Episodes. I didn't even want those other codes, they just gave them to me!

I have 2 for two of the W&G games, 1 for Season 3, 3 for Ice Station Santa, 2 for Season 2 as a whole, 2 for Launch of the Screaming Narwhal, 1 for ToMI as a whole, and 1 for Season 1.

If you remove duplicates, I have 9 serial numbers. Yes, I know that is a lot.

So by what method of purchasing did all of you with 3+ codes achieve that feat?

I got Culture Shock for free with Tales, and then I bought the Season 1 upgrade, so that got me two codes. I'm not sure how the third code showed up, but I suspect that that might be because I also bought Season 1 again for my friend because she didn't have a credit card.

Hey, I've got all of telltalegames.com's digitally distributed games, and as far as I know I've got only one serial code for each. Do I win something?

    You win a free episode!
Oh wait, now you've got two codes for one episode. Never mind then.

Ice Station Santa must be their most popular episode :p

Or least popular and have to give it away a lot.
Also I dont know if having an XBLA or Wii version and an actual code counts, if so then I have 2 of basically all sbcg4ap(3 for 8-bit so I posted my vote wrong) and 2 ice station santa.

I only bought each game once but i do have two serials of 8 bit is enough, actually 2 bit would be enough already. :O)

In my case, I got Ice Station Santa as a freebie in December when they were giving it away on the samandmax2010.com site right after Tales finished, similar to the Muzzled! giveaway for the Wallace and Gromit thing. And I'm sure plenty of others did the same for both of those.

Anyway, my other two with two numbers are Culture Shock and Baddest of the Bands, both of which I used free episode codes for.

Also, is it just me or did Abe Lincoln Must Die! previously display with a serial number?

If having Wii, WiiWare and/or other non-Telltale retail version do counts, then I have:
Sam & Max - Save the world twice (PC Telltale and PC retail)
Sam & Max - Beyond time and space twice (PC Telltale and PC retail), except "Ice Station Santa" (4 times: 3 codes + retail)
SBCG4AP twice (PC Telltale and WiiWare), except "Dangeresque 3" (3 times: 2 codes + WiiWare)
TOMI twice (PC Telltale and WiiWare), except "Launch of the Screaming Narwhal" (3 times: 2 codes + WiiWare), and I'm planning to buy it another time when (if?) the localized version comes.
All the other games (the two Bones, W&G, the three CSI, S&M3 and the coming soon Puzzle Agent), just once

I had my extra codes this way:
    * "Ice Station Santa" and "Dangeresque 3", for pre-ordering Wallace & Gromit
    * Another "Ice Station Santa", for visiting the teaser page of "Sam & Max Season 3"
    * "Launch of the Screaming Narwhal" for the "Talk like a pirate day"

Got three serials for Ice Station Santa, two for 8-Bit Is Enough, Dangeresque 3 and Homestar Ruiner. Also got Strong Badia the Free on Wii (as a gift) so I'm just another Baddest of the Bands away from having a full copy of SBCG4AP for free.
