Any legal way to put ScummVM on PSP 3000?
Hey guys,
I've been searching everywhere for a legal way to put ScummVM on my psp 3000, so without that custom firmware crap. I don't want to get into trouble by doing it (and its too complicated for me anyways), so is there a way for it to work on official firmware? Thanks in advance.

You wouldn't get in trouble though. They only go after people selling the pirated games sorta thing. You're using it to play games you already own, ScummVM isn't illegal. I have it running on my DS by utilizing a R4 cart, I replayed MI2 on my DS.

Damn, cause I heard you need version 5.03 to run this thing called ChickHEN or something, and I have 5.50! Any ideas?
But my impression of PSP's is that you have the custom firmware and all your games on a memory stick. I'm a DS person myself, but only because they're cheap. PSP is a better system but it costs more.
Nah, that would be known as downgrading your firmware, which involves buying a pandora battery and a magic memory stick, or making one myself, which would result in me permanently mutilating my PSP.
Be my guest to prove me wrong :-)
3 words: Patapon 2 Demo.
But seriously, another exploit? This'll make some people happy
Of course I've already downgraded my PSP back when the very first downgrader came out
Yeah, people will be happy until another update comes out. This exploit goes up to 6.20 from 5.50.
True, but what I meant was, it'll still be the same as when you bought it. The PSP will lose certain abilities, and will have trouble with most new games unless you search the... greyer areas of the internet.
Hacking the PSP is more of a risk than using a DS and an R4. The R4 is just a cartridge (just like every other game on the DS) with a memory card in it to store the emulators and such. It won't stop you from playing legal games in any way. And it's cheap as hell. I got an R4 pack complete with a 4gb memory card and reader for less than 20 pounds if I remember correctly.
Depending on which CFW you have, you can change a normal battery into a pandora battery and back from the select menu on the main screen.
Edit: All MI games work surprisingly well now that Half Byte Loader 101 has been released. Here's a video to show you non-believers out there. http://www.megaupload.com/?d=5FDPASP6
And here are some photos.
