New President at Lucas Arts

Who is Paul Meegan? Is this good or bad for the future of Lucas Arts? Is he interested in developing adventure games?

At this point, does it really matter? Sure we would love for more special editions of classic adventure games from LA and possibly another classic ip brought by and given to Telltale but Telltale is more than just a cover band with some of the original members. I doubt they want to just replay their old band's greatest.

I tried researching him, but couldn't find much. I did find out that he has previously worked at:

    Epic Games China
    Ubisoft Shanghai
    Jaleco Entertainment
    Ubisoft Montreal
and was the founder of Sinister Games, Inc.

I don't know if that means anything to anyone though. Otherwise, time will tell.

I had hoped for more re-releases of LucasArts classics in download stores, (they started out well with Indiana Jones, The Dig and Loom last summer) but without Rodriguez that probably won't happen. Ah well.

It's too early to say what will and will not happen and so it's always best to remain optimistic.

He's a game maker, not some career executive, so I'm pretty happy.

I wouldn't trust mobygames, or any of those sites.
Some of my friend's professors are listed as making Tomb Raider, Twister Metal, and other such random games when they never worked on such titles. Also for some reason it doesn't list them as working on some of the Lucas Art adventure games. I was listening to one of my friends professor talk about the Golden Age of Lucas Art[he even said that in his speech] and how fun it was to work there.
