Adventure Game Reviewers Needed!

edited July 2010 in General Chat
Adventure Click Review

I have recently set up a new forum specifically for Ratings Reviews and information on Point N Click & Quest Adventure Games, from past and present

I know there are many Adventure Game Websites out there, but personally I find them to be a clutter of links and popups. When the information is presented in a forum A-Z format It becomes much easier to navigate and find games that you wouldnt have normally. I recently found 2 games that have been out for years and I was astonished that I'd not seen them sooner, which has inspired me to create this forum.

So Im looking for serious mature Adventure Game reviewers who can say more than ' It was a good game'

I would prefer that reviewers had played the game recently and review while its still fresh in mind, despite the fact that you may have played the game 20 years ago and hated it, a fresh bowl of perspective may give you a new outlook on life. What better reason to replay leisure suit larry or kings quest?

Keep Reviews simple and to the point;

Animations & Visuals?
Sounds, Voices & Music?
Gameplay & Overall Enjoyment
and dont forget to rate the poll

Avoid spoilers if possible and use spolier tags if needed
Be Honest but Fair

Theres LOTS of games(and Images) to be added to the forum, but for now Im the only one who can Add games to the lists, members can Only respond with reviews, Only register if you want to be a reviewer.

I have added all of the Telltalle Games ready for reviews. If your currently playing an Adventure game and would like to review it when your done , tell me in this thread and I will add it to the list. I have also added links for 'freeware' games eg. Beneath a Steel Sky, Flight Of The Amazon Queen

As well as Offical Point N Click Adventure Quests there are many great Fan Made remakes and Games Made with Adventure Game Studio, WinterMute and eventually Dage Engine

Any suggestions let me know here

Thanks

Y'know what? I'd actually really like to be a part of this. Consider me signed up. All I need now is a proper list of stuff to review.

EDIT: If you'd like a example of my writing style, here's my review of Ben There, Dan That! from last year. There's also my site, which has all of the reviews and articles I've written over the years. You may need to skip to the second page for most of the actual reviews.

EDIT 2: Added my existing reviews for Secret of Monkey Island (SE) and StrongBad's CG4AP. Let me know if they're the sort of thing you were after, or if you want me to edit them down a bit.

For now Im concentrating on sorting out links and images for the games ive already listed, if your ready to review a specific game thats not there, mention it here and I will add it for you, Just register on the forum there is no formal , 'Your In' process, however ppl who dont review anything or dont post in an appropriate manner will be removed

EDIT: They are fine, but wouldnt reccomend reviews any longer :)

Well, I am writing articles for Cultural Zest along with The Highway, but I guess I could join this. It couldn't hurt to be writing for 2 sites.

My reviews tend to be shorter than that, so I think we're good. ;)

I'll happily review stuff, but you need to add more games! Pretty much anything by Lucasarts would be a good start.

As I say If your playing something or just played it, tell me and I'll add it, but for now im updating the images and links to games ive already listed (which today is a right pain in the butt because my internet connection is super slow ugh)

Ok, I'm registering now. So, all I have to do is add a game to the forum and review it?

Ok. If the game has already been reviewed, can I still post my own review?

I'm not much of a reviewer, last game I did review was Mother 3 on youtube annnd... yeah. Plus I'm still catching up with point and clicks so I'm not really ya gal for the job, though I am interested on improving on that banner, any chance to be creative and I'm in.

I guess I'll sign up. There's some Telltale Games I guess I could review at first, but I want to try out some more point n' click games out there.

EDIT: For future reference, my account name is MEGATRUCK.
