The Telltale Website

edited June 2010 in General Chat
I imagine the site has taken such a dip in quality because the fabulous Mr. Rodkin is at a more design/game production role these days... but..

What happened to the amazing brand design and slick attention to detail - it's just... gone! :(

I love the website. It's beast. Sean does a wonderful job. What about it don't you like?

    Angling for a job? :p

Seriously though, I do love your work on the AGDI site. I agree that the main page of the site has become a bit cluttered, and more like a generic game portal website. It seems to change all the time though. Who knows how it will look in a month.

    I'm not looking for a job silly. I'm a fan too! ;)

I used to take a handful of new screenshots of the beautiful Telltale site in the past every month or so.. noticed the last four, five months the site design has just degraded quite a bit.

It doesn't look bad... simply "there."

Don't make me post screenshots of my favourites! ;)

    i demand these screenshots!

I actually dont like the videos bit, but thats mostly because ive seen them all

I like the grey pattern in the background when zooming out too much on the iPad. :O)

I'm no fan of automatically starting a video on a homepage: it adds to the load time.

This used to bug me, but now I have the Flashblock plugin installed in Firefox, which stops ANY Flash from running until you click on it.

I installed it after I got attacked by a virus, which managed to install itself through an ActionScript exploit (from an ad banner), completely bypassing Windows security and my antivirus.

Of course you'd never get such a thing from Telltale's website, but I recommend exercising extreme caution on most of the internet!

I do dislike the video, it means when I go to the home page then clicks on say, "Blogs", it takes ages to leave the page.
And everyone knows which site I'm on, which is a bit annoying too.

I too hate the video player. Although the current video isn't as bad as the one that started immediately by saying "Rated RP-E10+", as i had often forgotten to turn down my volume from near full pitch (DVD's play really quietly for some reason). This one takes a while for anything to be heard.

That's why I have the blog bookmarked instead of the front page. :)

    Why am I confused?

yeah, I automagically go to forums unless I think there will be something cool on the main page
