Snakes of Avalon - a free surreal adventure game
Hey everyone,
I'm a bit embarrassed for this being my first post on the forums, but we've been covering Telltale games for quite a while on our adventure gaming site, so it's not like I came here by accident.
What I'm trying to say is that I'd like you to have a look at the free adventure game Snakes of Avalon (to be released this summer). To look at a teaser trailer to be precise.

or YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9MFvV6vdyQ8
The game is going to be a freeware, but it has been co-designed by an experienced indie game dev Alex van der Wijst, and the music is being composed by Thomas Regin who created great cinematic soundtracks for several commercial adventure games (e.g. Blackwell Unbound, Blackwell Convergence, Emerald City Confidential).
Snakes of Avalon is about Jack - a hallucinating alcoholic trying to stop a pair of very rotten and evil people from committing a terrible murder. Basically, a blend of Hitchcock, 1960's cinema, and rampant surrealism.
The trailer above is just a teaser, so stay tuned for more!

I'd love to hear some comments on the video preview linked above, guys. I believe it'll be a perfect game for fans of classic adventure games, humor and suspense.

I don't usually encourage peeking inside walkthroughs, but there exists one for Snakes... if anyone will need it: http://gamesolutions.efzeven.nl/snakes-of-avalon-walkthrough-alex-van-der-wijst-igor-hardy2010/

And here's probably the first proper review of the full game:

Snakes of Avlon is nevertheless still almost completely unknown, so if you like it, please recommend it to others.
1. love free stuff; and,
2. love interesting games
or any combination of the above, check out Snakes of Avalon. I can vouch for Ascovel being as hardcore an adventure game/TTG fan as you can get, so add that to your list of incentives to try this thing out.
Today a review of Snakes appeared at Gnome's Lair: http://www.gnomeslair.com/2010/10/snakes-of-avalon.html
Snakes was also featured in September's choice of freewares on Adventure Gamers:
