I came across this video which within its description has a source link to the game Epic Mickey and how the Scrapper is being removed from the game completely.

    Came across, or uploaded?
Anyway, was scrapper mickey supposed to be the character you would turn into if you erased too much stuff? I think it's a shame that he's been removed. I liked having visual changes to your character, aswell as NPC reactions in the Starwars:KotOR games.

So much has been changed since the inception of this game. I'm not really that interested in it anymore.

To be more clear, the "Scrapper" Mickey design(where he looked mean and had the change in color and mannerisms) has been replaced. Instead, when Mickey does enough bad things, he will look "smudgy".

Personally, I'm not really happy with the way they changed it. If they needed to remove a mean-looking Mickey that would be fine, but they should have just made him black-and-white instead, considering the influences involved.

I'm a huge fan of 1920s and 30s animation, and the influences from that era are what have drawn me so much to Epic Mickey. I mean, they're using OSWALD, for God's sake. No child has seen Oswald in 50 years, let alone any sane adult. Only insane and crazed film history buffs like myself got wide-eyed and excited when they heard the name "Oswald the Lucky Rabbit".

What Mickey has become is far removed from the character Ub Iwerks created for Plane Crazy in the 20s.

Im not a film history buff but I know about oswald. Im just one of the few people who read those info signs in Disney land rather then rushing off to the rides.

I dont see whats so bad about removing scrapper micky he just looked meaner nothing else. You can still act like a villan from what I see so not much of an issue.

Pretty much agree, I trust Warren Spector, the game should be rad.

The thing is, Scrapper Mickey gave evil Mickey a lot more personality. I mean, it's like making Black & White 3, but the only thing your evil creature has different is a mean look.

Kind of like that, but yellow.

    :)

    Like that.

I'd see it similarly to Mass Effect: you are going to save the universe, but you can either be nice or nasty while doing it.

EDIT: You still look the same, but you are different in character.

not to lucky if he Disney lost the rights only to regain them 80 years later pretty much.

So the choral director at my school was pretty excited when I told him. Does he count?

    Yeah, only this is cartoon.

Wouldn't it be strange to see a non-poxed or zombified LeChuck outright kill, say, Guybrush Threepwood?

Nope, if anything it would be refreshing. Every time a popular character becomes evil they seem to don an emo look or appear closer to a beast. From what I have seen of Epic Mickey you aren't evil in either application, you are simply using a lazier approach or a longer approach.

I have been hyped by this game since the beggining (Me being a huge disney junkie helps) and it makes me sad to see the scrapper look go. i wodner how this "smudgly" look of Mickey...well...looks...

still, as long as still the whole experience, cutscenes and story changes depending of your actions. I'm stille ager to this game...
