    OMG!!!!! What a fight it was! Lesnar survived a big onslaught of punches and was really close to be called TKO, to come back alive in Rd2 and submit Shane Carwin. Im wondering if Shane Carwin has something else behind striking punches in his bag.

    Im a Lesnar fan since he made me a fan of MMA. It's interesting how having diverticulitis humbled him down. Some people must go through some rough things to know their limits and recognize their mortality and know theres something much bigger out there.

    Sooo disappointed in Carwin, I was fairly neutral (more into the lighter weights because I like seeing good jiu-jitsu) but come on, if you've never been out of the 1st you should be training mostly cardio, gassing 4 minutes in is just silly at that level.

    Yeah im also a fan of jiu jitsu! I like wanderlei Silva and theres this dude in middleweight that can do mad submissions with their feets. I think MMA will be the most watched sport in quiete some time. Boxing has their days counted!

    If you watch Carwin fight he goes balls to the wall & wastes all of his energy throwing bombs. While that works on guys with a weak chin, guys with a really strong constitution like Lesnar will survive 9/10 times. What does that mean? In the second round you will have little energy left & be very vulnerable to big hits & too tired to defend against submissions.

    Truth is while Lesnar's victory was very exciting it was far from dominant. He won by absorbing all of his opponents punches and onslaught in a near whipeout of Rd1. To comeback and redeem himself.

    Lesnar and Carwin are both projects in work. Both need to continue to improve and i have serious questions about Carwins repertoir. Is carwin only a striker? Can he wrestle, submit? Does he use kicks? Because if he punched his way to the top, then that is not enough to win you a title.

    Lesnar's problem for me has been consistently in his defence and ways to avoid being harmed. This fight marks the second time he slipped up and this time he avoided loss #2.

    This reminded me of Muhammad Ali.

    @Everlast

    Carwin is about as much as a pure striker as you can get. I knew he wasn't going to win the fight. Lesnar is far too resilient to pain.

    Case in point

    He went another 10 minutes or so after that.
