I've only played the first one, but I loved it! Now I'm trying to find the second one, but no-one seems to sell it new anymore, and all the used ones I've seen are over £20. One day I'll E-bay it. I saw I could get it on wiiware quite cheap, but I think it's perfect for a handheld console like the DS, so that's what I'm holding out for.

Check Play-Asia. The Japanese release has the entire English game right on the cart, right from the get go.

Well, you could always try to get hold of a japanese version. They come with a translated version of the game, just hit the lower button on the first screen you see. Also, the DS does not care about regions, so any version will do.

I just love Phoenix Wright. I usually never play games twice, but I keep coming back to the series.

http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-19-71-99-49-en-15-phoenix+wright.html 25 dollars US for each game. I don't know what that is in your currency, but here's the listing.

If you have a wii you can get it there... they are making the Phoenix Wright games Wiiware now.

There is a forum thread similar to this by the way. It's a dead one. I was gonna do it until I saw it.

EDIT: Doesn't really matter though but remember to use the search Forum tool. It's alright though.

I love the third game! Am actually playing through it again at the moment. The last trial is just awesome on so many levels...

I have completed 1st and 2nd game in my Wii and I have 3rd, Apollo Justice and Miles Edgeworth in my that`s illegally you know:cool: They are great games! Especially fourth case in Justice for All and 5th case in Trials and Tribulations.

    e: Oh that`s SPOILER INCOMING

I never considered getting the game from abroad before, mostly because I thought all DS's were region locked. Is that not true then? I'd hate to get the game just to have it not work or lock up my DSI.

DS games don't really have regions so it should be safe to get a copy from anywhere.

DS and DS lite don't have region codes but DSi and the rest to come do have.

    O.O
Really? Crap! One of the reasons I favour handhelds is that I never know what continent I'll live in next year. I don't want to get a console and then be unable to play any games without having to import them especially, just because I have moved in the meantime...
Definitely lowers the chances of my getting a 3DS right there.

That is a bit misleading. A DSi can still play any game from any country for the DS. The only thing it can't do it play games from other regions that are DSi only (i.e. DSWare). As far as I know there are no games produced so far that are DSi only.

Mmh, I see. The downloadable content would be region-related. Well that makes sense I guess, and I can't see that being a big problem.
I'd still check if I can keep playing something I've downloaded after I move and stuff, but if the game cartridges are still playable I don't really have a poblem with the rest.

    Thanks for the clarification.

Yeah but that only applies to DSi only games.

I heard that soon on the WiiWare there will be an expansion pack for Ace Attorney: Phoenix Wright with case 5 Rise from the Ashes in it.

Yep... I saw that in Nintendo Power (I totally got a year subscription to it, OXM & PSM for $5 a piece on Amazon).

It's already out (in the EU at least)! I'm half-way through it, and I love it.

I'm up to day 3 on my DS. It is my favourite case yet.
