SBCG4AP Windows 7 issues

edited July 2010 in Game Support
I've searched this forum, but couldn't find any solutions for my problem.

I bought the Strong Bad game DVD yesterday, and I've tried to run the games, but none of them work. I've followed the Windows 7 advice in this forum about manually installing DirectX updates, compatability mode, and I've tried several prefs.props solutions as well. This is the error that Windows Error Reporting provides:

Anyone have any suggestions? I realise that this game isn't listed as being working in the windows 7 thread, but I was hoping that there might be some solution to help me out.

I'm running Windows 7 x64 with an ATI 4870 X2 (Recent drivers), and the only problem I had was that the screen came up black but still played sound. I got out of then back into fullscreen and it showed up. Adjusted my display settings, closed, and relaunched the game and didn't have that issue again, so I can say it'll run on Windows 7.

What's causing the crashes, I'm not entirely sure. Are you only having an issue with episode 1? Do you get the same errors with the other four episodes? Are you having issues with any other Telltale games or games by other studios?

I've tried all 5 episodes, and the same thing happens. This is both going through the launcher and going into the directory and directly running the exe. The game crashes before the window even pops up. I've also updated my graphics card drivers just in case (GeForce 7900).

I don't have any other telltale games to try, but other games work fine (Steam games and others).

Try reinstalling, maybe there were missing or corrupted files?

Just tried that. Reinstalled, this time to the default location, and still does the same thing. This time the error wouldn't format in XML though:
