Hitching and performance issues with Penal Zone...
For some reason, I'm finding the performance of the latest Sam and Max games to be a big inconsistent at times. I'm running an i7-930 + Radeon 5870 + 6GB ram on Win 7 x64. It should have no problem with the game, but there are small bits of hitching that occur while playing.
Simply walking across a scene with FRAPS on sees it jump between 58 and 62 fps. Not a big deal if you look at the numbers, but it ruins the fluidity of a solid 60 fps. This problem doesn't exist with any other TT games either.
Any ideas what might be causing this?
