Tears on the Remains of my Comrade...

I've seen so many things on life we all know. Most were unimportant. Some of them were actually kinda more important-ish. I can count 2 or 3 events that were like, uber-important. But they're irrelevant.

I recently lost a great friend I really respected. I had so many things to do with him. It's like none of them is real, but in the end, I have to face the fact that I lost my piece of shit Waltop brand graphic tablet. He has met his death -or his not-so-working-properly-ness. He was made in china and was an ugly piece of crap, but in the end, it was working and I was happy with it. I know I'm not really good at drawing shit or whatnot, but in the end, he made me feel pro. I want to do more pictures, more artworks about my game project, more stuff that I can use as forum signatures in MMORPG forums I've been in; by using my most beloved friend, but no can do. In his deathbed, he forced himself to utter his last lines (and also arcs and curves): http://i34.tinypic.com/10r7lns.jpg He didn't even get to color inside them.

...SO I'm planning to buy a new one! Due to my very limited income AND lack of interest here regarding graphic tablets, I could only find one product that looks good, has good feedback, affordable, and being sold here: Wacom Bamboo Pen (CTL-460-EN). If you're interested in those, or if you made researchs about graphic tablets before, what are your thoughts on that? Should I get this one, or another?

I've got a Wacom Bamboo (not that model though, it's a white one. I forget what it's called) and it's brilliant. It's currently in the exact same condition it was when I bought it over a year ago. Wacom make pretty much the best graphic tablets, so I say go for it.

I remember when my first tablet died... right in the middle of a drawing. I can really feel for you. If it's any consolation, your friend's last words were hella rad and most excellent. May he rest in peace.

Edit: It looks like the one I have is now discontinued. They've updated the Bamboo range since I bought mine which can only be a good thing (mine was the older version of the Bamboo Fun I think)

It is saying something, since my product died in the first year. I can find its sale receipt, it works as its guarantee document so that I could get it fixed for free. But still, your words are tempting. I've been hearing a lot about Wacom and I guess I finally have the chance of trying it out.

If he could hear those words, he would shoot a pentip at you, out of pure joy, modesty, and skankyness. Thanks a lot, and thanks for those flowers too, but he was allergic to those.

Well, I hope. I also hope it doesn't affect its price or anything... Oh well, thanks for all the info, it's really helpful. I'll most likely get my own Wacom after all.
