    2525. Okay score. Might give it another go. It was quite fun. :D

    After a few replays (so I could learn some of the games I really didn't know), I got 4950. Not bad

    6475. And I almost managed to keep going but I temporarily blanked the name "Patapon" other than the first letter.

    I'm a little ashamed of myself.

    ok i think it is a little unfair 1492(strange the year america was discovered) and half of those i knew but i didnt know the official name and got wrong even though i was right. Instances include a screenshot of doki doki panic and i said mario 2(hey thats the official american title) assassins creed it said i was wrong. heck the last one was windwaker. but when i typed it i was wrong. when i typed zelda i was wrong when i typed the legend of zelda windwaker i was wrong. this game really needs to be redone.
    Oh and i got a picture of donkey kong country 3 and i was wrong and the answer was donkey kong country. last i checked donkey kong country didnt have dixie kong and kiddie kong.
    edit: ok i just one of the price is right. please be a video game of that so it makes sense.

    You really can't be lazy with your answers on this. It's Super Mario Bros 2, not Mario 2. And Wind Waker is two words. When it came up for me, I put "The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker", so I don't know if you could get away with a shorter answer.

    What really annoys me is that there's several games on there that I don't know whatsoever, and there's no way of finding out what the right answer would've been.

    well that solves the windwaker issue.

    but still on the mario bros concept the picture it showed could have very well been from either doki doki panic or super mario bros 2 so that one was a little unfair(also i found one of the same games only super mario bros 2 was the answer)

    EDIT: wow when did i miss all these games. i found a monopoly, price is right, and jeoperdy(could someone give me the spelling on the last one i got it wrong.)

    To be quite honest, a truly good quiz game would have to be one that at least has alternate spellings. For example, Officially Punch-Out!! is with two exclamation marks. Not just one, not three, but two. However, it's mostly referred to as Punch-Out, without the exclamation marks.

    Likewise, it's LittleBigPlanet, not Little Big Planet. It's also ModNation Racers, with the first two words together, but the last not. And then we have Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, which doesn't even have a The Legend of as a prefix. Maniac Mansion: Day of the Tentacle is officially NOT called Day of the Tentacle, the Maniac Mansion part actually is part of the name. In fact, Day of the Tentacle could be considered a subtitle, or a complementary title.

    That's why I did the Guess the Costume thing here first. I already have alternate spellings for many characters (for example, not a lot know Daphne Blake has a last name). In fact, Sailor Moon has one of the most alternatives set already in the XML:
    <alternatives>
    			<alternative>Usagi Tsukino</alternative>
    			<alternative>Tsukino Usagi</alternative>
    			<alternative>Usagi</alternative>
    			<alternative>Serena Tsukino</alternative>
    			<alternative>Serena</alternative>
    		</alternatives>

    Another one is miss Sara Bellum, who is mostly referred to as Ms. Bellum, and only sometimes Sara Bellum.
    <alternatives>
    				<alternative>Miss Sara Bellum</alternative>
    				<alternative>Sara Bellum</alternative>
    				<alternative>Ms. Bellum</alternative>
    				<alternative>Miss Bellum</alternative>
    			</alternatives>

    So yeah, alternative spellings are possible with most games, and penalizing somebody for being "lazy" is just lazy coding.

    mine was like, something around 15000. but then i mispelled guilty in guilty gear.

    5775. I'm only 13, and also, it's got indie games. And just because a game is indie, doesn't mean i'll go play it.
  • edited August 2010
    Okay, this is pretty sad. Especially considering a large portion of the games I answered correctly were ones I've never even played.

    I don't remember the exact round I was on, but it was somewhere in the 300s. x_x I guess it helps that I type fast..

    3675... meh

    6275 on my second try. Curse all those 16-bit JRPGs that all look the same

    and yeah it accepted "Wind Waker" and "Ocarina of Time" for those Zelda games, so apparently it accepts subtitles, but probably not arbitrarily shortened titles like "Mario 2." It also seemed to ignore punctuation since it didn't dock me for "Punch Out" or "Mirrors Edge"

    Edit: made it up to 8625, and they do accept "Mario Bros 2" and "Mario Kart"

    1850 on my first try.

    EDIT: 17,600 on my second go. I'm pretty happy with that.
  • edited August 2010
    0 on my first try. :rolleyes:

    Well so I am not an old school gamer or a Nerd (that was meant in a nice way).
    But I do play games, some of them was just so old I have never heard of them before, I play more never games.

    But my score did go up for each try, as some games appeared that I did know, like Assassins Creed and Darksiders.

    I thought it was Super Punch-Out at first too, but it's Punch-Out for the Wii
