XBox Slim; for present?

edited August 2010 in General Chat
My birthday is coming soon! I'm thinking of getting the new XBox 360 Slim for a present. However, I feel like I should hear some feedback from my fellow gamers. Is the Slim model worth buying? I would greatly appreciate the information you have. Thanks for reading.

It still has the same common problems as the normal 360, RROD and overheating.

Built in Wi-Fi sounds good, and more space. However, I haven't gotten an Xbox 360 or the Slim at all :(

    Same price though.

Isn't it supposed to be infinitely quieter though? The built in wifi and gigantic hard drive are the big selling points for me though.

What about memory storage? I've learned that the console is not compatible with the old hard drive attachment. How is it possible to store downloaded content?

    And what is RROD?

    I have a Halo Reach 360 Slim pre-ordered.

The Slim has a 250 GB hard drive. If you need to move any data from an old XBox, Microsoft sells a cable to do that.

    Red Ring of Death.

If you need [anything to do something that should've been simple], Microsoft sells [an overpriced accessory to do it]

    Fixed.

    Red Ring of Death.

Oh yeah! I've seen the RROD not long ago, but it was because of minor blackouts in our house.
