Everybody vote for LeChuck!

Everybody vote for LeChuck in "All time greatest game villain", in Gamespot! Currently LeChuck is loosing! He is getting only 36,4%, while Akuma is getting 63,6%! Let's make LeChuck win this battle!

    Go against Street fighter fans? HAH, These polls always end up the same, either a Mario Character/Zelda Character/Final Fantasy 7 character end up winning. Really bores me actually that these polls have become predictable.

    Man, I can't believe that this is a popularity contest, with LeChuck losing to Akuma because of his zombie appearance! To quote the Zombie Pirate himself in anger: "Daaaargh!"

    Me too. Actually, the fight's getting more even. It was 30-70 this morning, and it's 40-60 now. Keep it p, people, and spread the word!

    My gosh, I'm reading some of the comments on the Ripburger vs. Pacman Ghosts contest, and some of these comments are just sickening:

    - "I've never played Full Throttle. So I'm going with the Ghosts."
    - "Nice paint drawings. Even I could do better."
    - "lol,Adrian sucks"

    The ignorance is incredible.

    I expect most people are just voting for the one they've heard of. From the comments, it doesn't sound like the Street Fighter one is even an interesting character.

    Akuma is some very angry POed "baddie" in Street Fighter. No real back story to him. Just angry. At least that's all I got when I played some Street Fighter. (but almost all the characters in that game seem just angry... I dunno, maybe it's just me).

    This is just shameful... LeChuck should be utterly thrashing him but so few people voting know exactly how good Monkey Island is. If they had played the games, they would think differently :(

    At least leChuck isn't the only good villain without a fair fight. Giygas (EarthBound) lost to Darth Malak (Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic) 80.1/19.9. Also, I don't know much about Kerrigan (Starcraft) but she's beating out Gruntilda (Banjo-Kazooie) 78.2/21.8

    Most voter logic: welp, I don't recognize either of these two characters so I'll vote for the more stupid-looking, steroid-induced design badass and modern design.

    Damn, it's over. This is so shameful. I mean, Monkey Island was one of the first games I ever played and for me LeChuck is one of the most nostalgic villains there is.
    How the Internet-gods of Justice can even allow this travesty to occur is beyond me :(

    The only reason that LeChuck is losing is because of the voters who just pass by and vote for, like PecanBlue said, the more badass and modern looking one. If you look down in the comments, all of the comments in favour of LeChuck are being voted up, while comments in favour of Akuma are being voted down. This shows that the people voting for LeChuck are mostly true fans who are actually sticking on the page and following the progress of the vote. It sucks so much that LeChuck is losing purely due to casual, passer-by voters who know nothing of the character or the Monkey Island series.

    Aye, 'tis hard not to at times :). The level of ignorance and stupidity is quite frustrating, and sometimes frustration can't be expressed with words alone - volume must come in to it.

    Since I know that LeChuck is about to die because of too many votes for Akuma (which still saddens me), I just thought that, in case LeChuck loses, I would like to quote what he and Elaine say concerning Guybrush
    who has been killed in ToMI Chapter 4
    (and I do the same to so-called Akuma fans concerning LeChuck): "Out of respect for the newly-deceased [LeChuck], I feel I should point out that you [Akuma] wave your sword like a dairy farmer." "How appropriate... you [Akuma fans] fight like a Pox-infected undead cow."

    Yeah, these passer-by voters think that LeChuck is, in Guybrush's words in The Curse of Monkey Island, "another has-been that nobody's heard of." Shame, that.

    Aw man, as someone who enjoyed streetfighter, this is just shameful. As AvatarC put it in the comments, "So many great "evil" hours spent on the Monkey Island adventures losing to a 60 second fighting round..."
    It doesn't make sense.
