But anyway, guys, is it really hard for you to stay on topic?
Yup.
EDIT:
I posted it, didn't I? Maybe it's not showing up.
It was the only one showing when I looked at your post last time. But apparently now they show more than 1 icon. No wonder ther was so much white space.
I see all (I think) now, including semi-nuclear icon...
It's good to have a visual hint to identify people. Lack of an avatar can make it very hard for people to remember your posts or, indeed, who the hell you are. Takes a while before your name itself can be enough, and even the, when you change avatars people might still not realise it's still you right away. Takes some readjusting.

Very true. I was gonna say people should put their old avatars in their signatures when they change them, but pictures aren't allowed in signatures here for some reason (although animated smileys are?).
I don't see why we should object, GuruGuru is pretty obviously guilty. I'd sentence him to either go on a PC gaming history sabbatical or be hanged, personally.

Pfft, I don't see why I should be the one being persecuted. If you guys have never played games like Star Fox Adventures or the Metroid Prime series, you don't know what gaming is and should be hanged yourselves.
I kind of missed having a cool unique logo thing as my avatar, so I just decided to combine it with my eyevatar for the best of both worlds.
So here's my new old avatar:
Congrats, you've gone from looking worried/paranoid to looking demonic. I personally liked your last non-eye avatar best. I like seeing people besides me using animated avatars.

Really? If I saw someone else using my old avatar, it'd probably annoy me slightly. I wasn't sure if that was just me. I guess I'll switch back to it once the Eyevatar Movement (TM) fails to take over the world again.

Of course we've played them, we're gamers, unlike some people who've never even heard of the single greatest villain in gaming history.
Just to take some of the heat off Guru, I started playing Deus Ex a few days ago and I've stopped playing it because I'm not really enjoying it. Maybe it's because I didn't play it when it first came out, who knows?

Too ... much ... fail ... to ... comprehend ... must ... type ... like ... this ...
It was starting to feel annoying. anyways, I fixed it, but I got a screenie to remember it by. I can bring it back if I want, though.
I don't know exactly how it happened, but I created a screenshot from the game with mspaint and gave it a 372x502 size. After saving it, I moved the part of the image I wanted to the top left corner and dragged the canvas to the size I wanted and resized the image to 50x50 (at least I think that's how I did it.) It seemed to have t same effect on the forums whether I uploaded it directly or linked to it via imageshack.
I could tinker with it further and try to recreate it, but I think I've had enough fun for now.
Comments
SHODAN > Pants.
I don't even know what a SHODAN is. I do, however, know what pants are.
Oops, wrong thread. Still, the point stands.
good one
But anyway, guys, is it really hard for you to stay on topic?
Oh wait, I did for the one below. But I changed it back later.
I think we're pretty much still on topic.

That's... that's cool. Whatever. I am merely the most powerful force in the Galaxy, no biggie. Just a Dark Lord of the Sith.
*sniff*
Yeah, it seems that the thread went back to it's original direction while I was writing that post
wut

Hey, I was exclusively a console gamer (with the very large exception of The Curse of Monkey Island) until very recently.
I see your chart and raise you this image.
Incidentally, if "Telltale forums" appeared in any sort of dictionary or encyclopedia, that's the image that would be next to the entry.
I go to another forum where the topics tend to change after one or two posts. Granted, only one or two people go to that forum, but still.
Did I mention that the only non-Nintendo consoles I own are the Sega Genesis and Atari 2600?
...
The judges have let you know this makes not a single darn difference.
[Cue "Objection!"]
So here's my new old avatar:
The hat was added for Xmas time. Then I used a crappy, vague avatar made in GIMP:
And now, I have a boring avatar of a game that looks interesting. Hooray.

No, I'm pretty sure I've heard of LeChuck.

Oh, go sit in the sun for six months.
And the conversation comes full circle.
I guess it bodes well for today's developers that some people enjoy modern games more than Deus Ex.
That, or it bodes well for out-of-work psychiatrists that some people enjoy modern games more than Deus Ex.
also at one point this:
Here's my two:
Would you want me to use it here too GuruGuru to suit your animated need?
*talks about her eyevatar*
... i noticed i had the same avatar as a3HeadedMonkey so I thought i'd better change mine...
anyway here's the first avatar i had:
Is that you hunting hassats? You could be a powerful ally.
And then this:
I think.
