Sam and max start up issues through steam

edited September 2010 in Game Support
I just bought the third season of sam and max and what keeps happening is that every time i try to play the game after the first start up of it it tells me that the came has crashed.
I have updated all video drivers from the game it self and from online.but it keeps crashing on me.
I have on board sound and it not caused and issue with anything before and I even tried the demo before I bought the the full season and it worked every time I used it.
I have even played other games on my computer normally and through steam and they all still work.
and when i am able to play the game it crashes after a while.

I really want to play the game but if I can't use it I am about to just give up.
Came some help me please.

Is your display color depth set to 32 bit?

Also please post a dxdiag log.

    dxdiag
Windows XP: Go to your start menu and click on run. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter
Windows Vista / 7: Press the windows key on your keyboard or click on the start menu. Type in "dxdiag" and hit enter.

Now click on the button that says "save all information".
It will prompt you to save a file. Save it where you can find it.

Then zip the file and attach it to a reply in this Thread.

Right Click the Episode you're currently playing and press Properties then Local Space or something like that, then Verify Game Cache.

Looks like it's crashing on an nVidia DLL.
