Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep.

Come on. I know I am not the only KH fan. Who here has already bought it because today it came out. Also, who did you choose to start the story as(because I dont think you can swap out during the game)

    I'm a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, but I won't be getting the game for a little while yet for a few reasons. First I have to make it through the convention this weekend with enough money to buy my cousin's PSP off him, a new power cable for it, and the game.

    Once all that happens, I'll probably start as Aqua.

    Ventus.
    Also the character I chose for that reason.

    I don't even know what's going on with Kingdom Hearts anymore. A bunch of games were released without me even knowing and now I'm lost. I only know about 1 and 2.

    Kingdom Hearts:the tale of sora and how he got his keyblade and met donald and goofy, nothing hard yet
    Chain of Memories:immediatly after kh. Sora donald and goofy go through castle oblivion and lose their memories. They meet organization XIII for the first time and at the end they can regain their memories, but it would take a year and would forget the events of this game.
    Kingdom Hearts 2:where all the chaos starts. We learn about Roxas the nobodies and the official name to organization XIII We learn a lot happened during the year.
    358 days:detail of Roxas' life from birth, to the beginning of Kh2
    Birth By Sleep:10 years before the first game, 3 warriors go on a quest. Dont know much do to not beating the game yet

    I'd add that 358/2 Days takes place during the end of Kingdom Hearts (after Sora frees Kairi's heart) and Chain of Memories, and ends exactly where Kingdom Hearts II begins.

    I'll start as Terra because that the recommended story order: Terra, Ven, Aqua.

    For gameplay reasons, is better choose Aqua as the last one, and start with either Ven or Terra.

    Maybe I'll do that. If I save Aqua for last, I should have something to look forward to.

    Started with Ventus when I was able to choose what storyline first.

    I think some here won't be surprised to know that I own the first two games and a Japanese copy of the second and want a Japanese copy of the first one and also the platinum edition. Having the second Final Mix I obviously own a Japanese copy of Chain of Memories.

    I don't think I want the other 2-3 games because they are blood/ money sucking traps and I'm not going to buy a PSP and all these systems just so that I can play Kingdom Hearts. I did it for Final Fantasy 13, 14, 15 but I'm not going to do it for KH 10-2, just like I wouldn't have gotten a PS2 for FF 10-2...

    Just for instance, FF 10 was on the PS2.

    Adding new worlds/ characters is unfair and under handed. They are just milking the franchise because they know they can and know they can control and manipulate you to buy a PSP and all of that BS just to play the games...

    I usually only go after numbered games in a franchise. For example, I don't play Final Fantasy Tactics.

    I'm not going to buy it either: I convinced a friend who collect Kingdom Hearts games to lend me the PSP with the Game when he finish the game at the end of the year. And whathever, I already know, technically, what happens because I spoiled myself all the game. That why I know you have to save Aqua last.

    Once I get the money I'll buy it, but for now I can't.

    Also, when I start I'll start off the way Nomura set the story up chronologically. I'd have to wiki it though.

    I'm talking about BBS chronology. All three stories can be played in any order, however, there is only one canonical order. All I know is that Aqua's story is last, so it's either Ventus or Terra that should be played first.

    EDIT: Wiki'd it a bit.
    The scenario's recommended order of play by Nomura is Terra, followed by Ventus, and lastly Aqua, allowing the player to best understand the story.

    The stories go at the same time in Birth by Sleep. The tutorial is with Ventus and then you have to choose a character in certain point. Chronologically, everything happens at the same time mostly, except, normally, Terra was in certain place first, then Ventus is chasing him and Aqua goes last. Normally. In Cinderella's World for example, first is Ven, then Terra and then Aqua. The recomended order by Nomura is basically because Ven's story answers some Terra's question and Aqua's end up answering the questions of Ven's and Terra's.

    Yeah i sorta figured out the order after the first nonturorial level as ventus(snow white) when it said that witch was attacked by terra, and how i dont see snow white under the curse(which of course is most likely saved by aqua) of course im still going as ven, terra, then aqua. due to ven as i feel is the main story(mainly because the tutorial you are him and the first cutscene involves him and gettting the keyblade)

    On another note who ever is the new voice for mickey i think is doing a good job. I can barely tell the difference.(just a little more high pitched)

    This is GENERAL chat and telltale doesnt seem to mind. and I got it for about $40 at gamestop but I did preorder(something I always do) mine, so it could be cheaper(or more expensive)

    I got the Special Edition for £25ish.

    Not played much of it yet, but it seems enjoyable so far. Its probably the only PSP game i've seen which has graphical settings, hah.

    Hm $40 seems about right. Argh so expensive for the psp! Then again I am a little bit of a cheapskate. I might mooch off my nephew since his mom's buying it for him.

    So how is everyone liking the game? I just finished Radiant Garden in Terra's story (doing it first) and I'm really impressed with the graphics and gameplay style. It feels like ages since the last new Kingdom Hearts game on PS2 and it's a relief to see they've kept the basic formula and played around with the battle system a bit.

    PSP only, why are they being so cruel? Who can afford to buy a new system just to play a KH game?

    I have a friend who did, but he works programming radars for the Army of Mexico and Venezuela. And... he can't tell us more, because he can get killed.

    Guys im experiencing a glitch and wanted to know if anyone else got this. I was playing ventus and was ready for the final boss of his chapter, but wanted to train a bit at the mirage arena, but after the first mission it wont let me advance at all. It says at the bottom that im ready for mission 2 but wont let me try it at all. I can only do mission 1.

    I just finished Terra's story and it was nice to finally learn the link between
    the Xehanort in this and the Xehanort in the future games
    . Now to get 100% in Terra's report :p

    Wow I just finished Ventus' story(I wanted to figure out how to do the whole mirage arena) and have started Terra's story and so far it is awesome(I am just about to start Neverland)

    I got the game about this time last week. I beat it on Proud mode on Sunday and unlocked the secret/true end. Also I got it for $30 at target. They were having a "Temporary Price drop" on it.

    I am pissed right now. They just announced Birth By sleep final mix.
    EDIT: Oh so far final mix is Japanese Only and contains the bonus stuff we got so I guess it is ok. Feel sorry for the Japanese who already bought this game.

    Aqua's final boss was brutal. Going to wait a while to start another character because I don't feel like going through the torment right away again.

    I couldn't, except that my cousin got bored with his and thanks to a long series of events, I think I can manage to talk him into selling it to me for $20, with games but without the power cord.

    One thing that's interesting about that is that it's the first time a Final Mix is going to be playable without importing the system as well, since the PSP isn't region locked. I might consider importing the game someday, but right now I'm just focused on getting the US release.

    Hey guys tio for the who
    Xehanort in Terra's body
    boss fight,(which you can hear about in my cheapest boss battles rant on another thread) learn the final finish command, demolition I think is what it is called, it is massivly powerful, plus you are invincible during all this and it is a LONG move. Just use it and aim at yourself(you'll understand it when you use it) since you are invincible, and the chances are he will start to attack you, it will do massive damage. Although I still have yet to beat him(after the massive damage, he created a combo of meteors and curaga)
    EDIT:Oh and to unlock demolition, equip Dark Star 2 or Explosion, and earn 10,000 CP through unversed.
