Adventure bundle-missing dll file?

Just downloaded the adventure bundle and click on the icon on my desktop and it says failed to start d3dx9_41.dll not found, try reinstalling to fix this.
But that didn't help either. Help please!!

    This probably means that you don't have the latest version of DirectX installed. Updating DirextX should fix this

    I'm on DirectX 11. Same error. What gives?

    (UPDATED: Another user on a different thread posted the link to the DirectX Updater, because apparently Microsoft thinks it's clever to send out Windows 7 with a new version of DirectX that acts like it will handle old DirectX version compatibility, but actually doesn't update old version subsets. What a bunch of morons.
