Absent: Part I - Innocent Until Proven Guilty

Absent is a story which follows the character of young-adult and college student, Murray Schull. He and his two best friends, Eve and Steve, attend a college in which students are disappearing daily. It’s up to them to find out how this is happening, why this is happening, protect their other friends, and to put a stop to it once and for all.

These series of events began when Crystal, a three month girlfriend of Murray’s friend, Steve, disappeared on her way home from college via mysterious means. Over the course of the investigation, however, Murray realises that what stole Steve’s girlfriend was not anything of this earth. Murray is haunted by visions, confronted with puzzles, with friends turning against each other, and all for one reason. The Reaper.

Features
-A three part epic-story released in parts over three months.
-A point/click, easy to use interface.
-Approximately ten NPC's to interact with in this first episode alone.
-A completely original story with original art, music and characters created by...yours truly! ;)
-A game so varied, I flipped a three sided coin to choose it's genre!
-It's completely free!

Have fun guys! I've been working on this episode, and bits and pieces of the other two, for the majority of the summer, so it feels good to finally have a game out there that I can call mine.

    It just occurred to me, if you complete this quickly...

    Wow, this game is nice. Really reminds me of classic adventures.

    I'm liking it so far. Some of the story is a bit too fast paced and Murray is a little too accepting of his visions but I really like this!

    Have you considered hiring voice actors? I think good voice acting would really enhance the game experience.

    Maybe not real voice acting, but it would be funny to have a version of the game where Monkey does all the voices.

    Also, LOL at The Gentleman's new Title.

    I'm possibly planning to maybe add voices to it when all the episodes are done, and then release it as one whole game.

    I'd do a character, if you need any younger teens(which probably won't happen, but the option's still there).

    I'd love to play a character in this too; in fact it's why I asked.

    I'm around, oh, nineteen, and my voice is in average to high voice range normally. If you need any voices from that range any time in the future, I'd love to apply.

    Hey, thanks for the VA requests, guys! But as I said, this game will not be voiced until at least all of the episodes are out. THEN I may go back and add any enhancemants that are wanted.

    Ah well, maybe Silverwolfpet could stretch his voice to woman territory! Thanks for the VA request.

    Anyway, here's a slight update that removes the installer and fixes an easy to find bug pointed out by an AGS user.

    Not necessarily, just going by the current development speed of Episode 2 balanced with my general life, I'm guessing Episode 3 will be done around December time. Maybe I should've said that rather than Christmas...

    The releases should be similar to Telltale's releases of their episodes. Not always exactly a month away, but close enough to call monthly releases.

    Finished the 1st episode and I must say it was really good. I strongly recommend the game to people who haven't played it yet.
