What happened to Sal?(spoilers)

edited September 2010 in Sam & Max
I've played all of the games except for the city that dares not sleep, so I was wondering, do you see Sal, does he come back?
Cause he just fell and that was it.
Please dont tell me what heppens to him or how he comes back.
I just wanna know if he comes back.

It's not explained how he's back.

He's back and better than ever. Don't worry, the events of Episode 4 didn't kill off one of our favorite Season Three characters.

one of our favorite Season Three characters.

    More like major annoyances.

Sal wasn't annoying, he just wasn't anything. Very peculiar for a Telltale character to be neither interesting nor irritating. He was just there as a laid-back semi-goon.

Sadly, because I love his voice and design. Sure he's a giant cockroach, but the designers had enough sense about what parts of a cockroach are gross and kinda censored them out on Sal.

He was unnoticable until that kissing scene that made me lose my lunch.

Meh, that would've been far worse if he actually looked like a real cockroach : P
As it was, Stinky could've just as well have made out with a doorknob.

(... which would be pretty disgusting nonetheless, damn doorknobs are covered with bacteria)

Yes. I agree with this statement, as I had the same reaction.

I was rather shocked when they kissed but it didnt bother me...

Science tells us that insects are impervious to falls due to air resistance he probably was just pissed at having to make his way back topside.

Doesn't apply to Sal: he is too big and heavy.

I was wondering if anyone would notice that hole in my theory... yeah, wind resistance depends on density, which goes out the window with Sal... Though he's gotten beat up several times and says he's not hurt, maybe his exoskeleton is that harsh after exposure to the mutagens in Stinky's kitchen!

I wonder if part of the joke is that Sal
has been able to come out of all the abuse he's been put through this season relatively unscathed (including stuff that would kill even a giant cockroach) ... only to die from the one pop-culture-informed thing you'd think wouldn't off him. Oops. D:
    (305 spoilers under the tag.)

I can't help feeling that the creators got in a more and more sadistic mood regarding Sal as the season progressed...
