d3dx9_41.dll error. saaaad face

I purchased the Tales of Monkey Island DVD/Season, and If try to run it (before it even goes into the launcher) I get greeted with a "This application has failed to start because d3dx9_41.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." Ive reinstalled and redownloaded, but each time it has failed. Any help?

Also I had a similar issue with S&M3, same problem, and I never got a support email, even though I sent one.

Running the DirectX updater should help.

I feel slightly idiotic for not thinking of this, and now it runs!
