Siege of Spinner Cay, missing character polygons

edited October 2010 in Game Support
Hello,

When playing Siege of Spinner Cay (episode 2 Tales of Monkey Island), I find that the characters are missing polygons, making portions of their limbs, face, torso, etc. transparent. It's sometimes cool to see the back of Threepwood's eyeballs, but, overall it's distracting.

Also, I've notice some animations are off - for example, when Elain makes her way from talking to Guybrush back to the argument between the chieftain and the pirate, instead of walking, she glides across the floor w/o moving her limbs.

Lastly, this may be nothing, but, when placing items in the combination interface, sometimes hovering text appears that say "No Inventory Selected" when I clearly have an item selected.

Please let me know what's going on.

I'd suspect it's my laptop, but, episode 1 plays just fine. Here are my specs just in case (don't laugh):

Intel T2400 @ 1.83 GHz
989 MHz, 1.00 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400

Thanks,

Francisco

Some of the issues might be better when you reduce the graphics quality.

Also run the DirectX updater and make sure your audio and video drivers are up to date.

A full dxdiag log might help figuring out the rest.

    changing the graphics quality
    Start the game.

Select "Settings". Click the red arrows until you see "graphics settings".
Set "quality" to 1 and test the game. If you want increase it as long as it runs well.
