"The Classics"

edited October 2010 in General Chat
TTG has changed the Forums a bit. Now, instead of having their own forum, W&G, Bone, and TTTH are under the new subforum "The Classics". Does this mean there will be no more W&G?

Probably, I doubt many people are holding their breath for a second season

I'm not preciselly "holding my breath", but I'd love a new W&G season

Ah but how likely do you guys reckon it is? My money's on slim to none

Ah, I'm aware it's very unlikely. That's why I'm not holding my breath for it.
I'd rather hold it for Bttf and JP.

A shame about Wallace, but I'm not really surprised. I loved those games, and I would love to see some more episodes, but I never got the impression that they were particularly successful (compared to Telltale's other games).

It's also worth noting that Strong Bad isn't part of part of the classics-subforum, while those games came out before Wallace & Gromit. Of course, this doesn't mean that there will be another Strong Bad season. It could just be because of his appearance in Poker Night, or simply because that forum is still a bit more active than the W&G-forum was.

I could see a second Strong Bad season popping up at some point, i've no real reasoning as to why, I just could :p

I found it slightly odd too. However, Sam & Max was released 2/3 years before, so yeah, Strong Bad being a bit more popular/Poker Night may be why.
Yes, I would like to see more. I won't be devastated if they aren't any plans for a season 2 however.

Hmm. I clicked on the Genral Chat link so quick I never noticed. I'm glad to hear Strong Bad isn't in the 'Classics'. It means I can keep hoping! Although your all probably right and it probably is just because of Poker Night.

I don't like how it looks on the page. It just seems out of place.

I don't think that its just Poker Night keeping him alive. Strong Bad will be back. My Spidey senses told me.

I wouldn't read too much into where games are placed on the forums - it in no way signifies specific plans for a franchise.

I will vouch for the fact that the forums get rearranged every time there's a new season of one of them. So if there were a new Wallace & Gromit, it would spring back out and up to the top!

It's just that now, I'm wondering if I'll ever notice new messages in these forums, as they seem to have been collapsed. On those rare occasions when someone posted in the Telltale Texas Hold'em forum, I still noticed and read it. Will I still notice in the future?

I read that as "Just because we hate Bone and we hate Jeff Smith for making Bone doesn't mean we'll never make any more Bone games. But we're not going to make any more Bone games."

    Whoops...too soon?

Right, future plans for Wallace and Gromit. As a side note, I have future plans for my groin to come in contact with a chainsaw.

I would absolutely ADORE a game as good as the Grand Adventures series, but it isn't going to happen.

We moved the least active forums, because BTTF and JP are going to be popping out into full fledged forums eventually, and this place will get super crowded. It's not a commentary on future games by Telltale as much as what's being talked about. Strong Bad is older than Wallace & Gromit, for instance, but it has more community activity so it didn't get bumped.

That's my only concern as well. The forum homepage is already so tall as to be daunting, but the upside to the tall forums is that regulars and mods can easily skim for new posts. I tend to use the New Posts button at the top of the page, instead of reading the forums, but maybe I'm a weirdo.

I'd like to hear any ideas/thoughts you guys have.

    Also:

    gross.
