They'll make a build a bear work shop.

As long as they continue monkey island and sam and max then I am happy! Most likely gonna do a actual season of puzzle agent but with telltale it's hard to tell. This is a company that I wouldn't be surprised if they made a social network game! They have creativity so no matter what it is I am excited.

But yeah I want some monkey and s&m love.

Build a TTG Bear would be great!

    Too much information. :p

I expect Monkey Island. They way they ended just begged for a Season 2. Though I'd also like more Puzzle Agent.

As much as I'd love a new season of Sam and Max (and pretty much feel that way as soon as the previous season ends), I'm crossing my fingers for more Tales of Monkey Island. That has to be my second favorite series they've done and enough time has passed at this point where I'm champing at the bit for a new one.

I'm not sure what they WILL do, but I'd *like* them to release a game based on a brand new IP that is just Telltale's.

A Dexter game would be brilliant, because...

-Telltale's chance to make a proper big-boy game with serious storylines that interweave and have proper emotional gravitas

-The nature of Dexter's "work" would lend itself well to adventure games, tracking people down, finding clues, finding clever ways to enter into property

-Hints could be delivered seamlessly using Dexter's trademark inner monologue

-That guy from the Telltale office who dressed as Dex would bum the idea

I'd say that'd be a bit too big-boy kinda concept for Telltale. Dexter is kinda like Ted Bundy helping in the pursuit of Gary Ridgway.

I think it's great they're doing familiar licences.
Why? Because some company has to do it. And TellTale has been one of the most succesful so far of turning licenced franchises into games. This is a very rare feat to accomplish.
I also think it generates extra publicity.

From what I've heard, Wallace and Gromit didn't do too good.

What have you heard? I've been looking for information on how that went.

I'm still to play the last CSI , but if what is said here is true...
    Discworld!!!

    Discworld!!!

I don't want my hopes too far up. discworld doesn't carry itself very well to mediums like live-action, but the video games have always carried the world across really really well. A new Discworld game would make me go weak at the kness.

HOWEVER! It's not Discworld uless Sir Terry's 'mucking about' with everything just tightening nuts and bolts up. To correspond with a company on the other side of the world might be a pain in the arse for him, especially considering his condition

Maybe at the moment, it wouldn't exactly be the smoothest of transitions. Let's see what they give us with Jurassic Park. Their whole thing is that they're story tellers, and Dexter makes for a great tale

They'll start a love hotel, and then make playing game cards...and also become a Taxi Cab service.

I voted Monkey Island but I do want more Puzzle Agent and Inventory games and a Sam and Max to follow.
Homestar Runner hasn't updated in a year except for one April Fool toon so I don't feel like a new season should be made until there's more content to work with.
Wallace and Gromit were brilliant games but feel a little too niche to make a second season anytime soon. I do think we need another animated short.

Of course any new IP that Telltale wants to work on is fine by me. I haven't been disappointed.

That's a good point. JP will surely be the example for near future guidelines.

    Out of curiousity, who's Raz?

I think Richard from the Looking for Group comics would be an excellent addition to an At the Inventory game.

I am shocked at your lack of knowledge! Buy Psychonauts and play it now! NOW!

About Richard from LfG, I dunno. I mean, Tycho was At The Inventory because he worked at Hothead with Ron Gilbert, but I don't know if LfG has a connection with Telltale. Personality-wise, I also don't know, because I haven't read it, yet...
I'm still to play the last CSI , but if what is said here is true...
    Discworld!!!

    CSI: Ankh-Morpork would be exquisite.

It's sad no one voted for Bone because we all know the truth. :(
  • edited November 2010
I am kind of hoping they will work on Monkey Island during the other games.
  • edited November 2010
Well, the Bone games definitely served a purpose. I am trying to get my hands on the comics as I have become interested in them after reading what it's all about.
I didn't know Bone was so dark. The character design of the three main characters is really misleading.
I thought it would be something silly.

Well...if TellTale didn't develop these games I wouldn't even heard about it.

I personally prefer the bigger Monkey Island games. It's not a knock on Telltale or anything, but I just like the extra-time that can be taken on a big budget version as opposed to the episodic stuff. I still maintain that the ending to Tales felt rushed

I know, right? That's what makes it so awesome! The overlapping tones, and the feeling that it's several comic book stories crossing into each other!

While ToMI Volume 2 would be nice, I do think they will do something different first.

Maybe something like "Return of the tentacle"
Just because there can never be enough Maniac Mansion :)
(And that isn't more unlikely than Monkey island would have seemed 2 years ago)

Of course I would buy a killer tomatoes game too.
(A license for that can't be that expensive :) )
  • edited November 2010
My vote goes for please please please more monkey island :)
  • edited November 2010
I know this probably won't ever happen, however, I can dream.

My dream is that TTG would re-invent Full Throttle into episodic storyline as it (Along with Sam & Max) were Lucasarts' crowning achievements in adventure games, as well as a highly underrated property.

It is a great story with lots of additional material to draw from (such as rival gangs, power struggles and character relationships). The original game set up a unique dark, gritty but often comedic (love those Corley Bunnies) game that just screams sequel potential.

Anyways, I cast my vote for a Full Throttle (not necessarily a remake) season as I guarantee us adventure game fans will love it.

I think the majority of us want more Monkey Island.... and I believe the iron is still hot.... ToMI and the SE's did rather well.... It would make sense to make it sooner than later.
  • edited November 2010
    Agreed.
  • edited November 2010
Did someone already mention Indiana Jones?!

    I think it would perfectly!
    -Sense of humour fits
    -Good licence
-Game would always be better than the last movie
    -Cartoony style could easily work.

    (read TellTale member post)

Does this mean Season 2 for SBCG4AP?
The whole Homestar Runner thing is well....not my thing.
But I am happy for the people that were waiting on it.

I agree; Dexter is not only too dark for Telltale's catalogue.

For me, I want more TOMI and Wallace & Gromit...I love Sam & Max, but personally we just had a huge dosage recently, so I honestly could wait a while.

Realistically though, TOMI II will be next up for Telltale considering W&G's sales. :(

Would love a Monty Python or a Discworld series.
But that just seems to unlikely really. (along with Ren and Stimpy, Earthworm Jim (HA!), and The Neverhood (though I'd argue those could work))

I guess another monkey Island series would be cool, as would another Puzzle agent.
Strongbad could do with another season.

And Sam and Max is just going from strength to strength.

The truth is I'm just happy Telltale keeps making games.

Anyways, I voted other if only because I hope there was some truth to the speculation that Telltale is making a Tex Murphy game.

I agree with those who've said Futurama and more Sam & Max. I have some other strange ideas: Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy or Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

Billy & Mandy could really work, I think. It'd probably be sorta like Sam & Max, I guess, but different. Interacting with the Jamaican Grim Reaper... that'd be cool/funny.

And imagine exploring the world of Ferris Bueller, though, tricking snooty waiters and interacting with shady parking attendants, exploring art gallery's and parades...

I voted more Sam & Max, though, 'cause my ideas are likely not possible/likely :p

    Futurama, or Star Trek!

Paramount would never allow, it, but I can dream! :D
  • edited December 2010
Well, if we go into "how could they make this work", how about... Sonic?

Or, more seriously, I'd love to see the Planetfall 3 sequel actually made. Or the rest of the Magic Trilogy - only getting Z:GI was a bum.

Maybe a collaboration with Dreamworks or Disney/Pixar?
