I'm sure I'm not the only one around here who likes carving pumpkins, and I'm definitely not the only one around here who likes showing off, so let's do this!

2007 - Nobody Emblem



2008:

Paper Mario (I ran out of time to do more than the head)

I ran out of time in 2009.

2010:

Sam Jack-o-Lantern/Max Pineapple Lantern (carved two weeks early for the contest, already thrown out)



Medic's Mildly Disturbing Halloween Mask (Concept and pattern by me, carved by my friend)



Pyro's Mildly Disturbing Halloween Mask (Was going to be Scout before the teeth all fell out, so I did Pyro)

And lastly, my favorite. This one requires some introduction.

See, my friend's being a jerk. My friend thinks Pedobear is hilarious. I'm going to play a prank on him and leave this pumpkin outside his house tomorrow night, without the candy in the picture.

The one in the middle of the top row and the one on the left and in the middle of the bottom row are mine, my mom did the other three.

ALSO! I don't know if anyone here visits Halolz, but their annual pumpkin carving contest is up, and there are a lot of good ones this year, especially for Lucasarts/Tim Schafer/Ron Gilbert fans.

I left Pedobear at my friend's earlier. The front door was open and I was almost sure I'd be caught leaving it. I got away with it, though, and it was out there for almost two hours before he noticed it.

Here's the thing I talked about over here. The text from the drawing was supposed to be etched into the pumpkin too, but I found out the hard way that it was pretty much impossible, at least at the size the text needed to be.

So -- of course! -- the solution was to use emoticons instead.





God help me.

I made another jack-o'-lantern this afternoon, but it got carted off to a church Halloween festival before I could snap a picture. I was planning to do that tonight anyway, but the pumpkin never came back.

Very nice. I especially like the monster. What did you make him out of?

Sometimes I wish I could get the hang of pumpkin etching, but for the most part I'm perfectly happy with traditional carving. I like the challenge of getting the design I want.

I got tons of comments on the pineapple, by the way. A few pictures, too.

You should put a biohazard symbol on one of them just to scare the neighbors.

Also, that symbol looks really fun to carve. Makes me wish I had a pumpkin.

Ran out of time and gave up. I managed to bust out a passable Aperture logo as the trick-or-treaters started to come, but all my other ideas proved to be too hard to get done tonight. I was supposed to get these done yesterday, but I got stuck helping my dad with chores all day and didn't have time.
