Game Crashing

Hi all

I have just bought CSI: Fatal Conspiracies and it keeps crashing. It loads the titles at the beginning, and then when we first see Catherin in a cut scene it crashes??? I have all of the minimum requirements, yet it still crashes. I have tried running as administrator and disabling the DEP. Has anybody got any suggestions? I have played all of the CSI games so I am really frustrated.

    You can do this, goto start menu and if your on Windows XP goto Run, and type dxdiag, if on Vista or Windows 7 type dxdiag in the search bar.

    With dxdiag up let it do its thing (you will see a progress bar), once done click the save all information and save to your desktop, it will be a text file that you can copy and paste here.

    This will tell us your Processor, graphic card etc.

    Hi Terri your sound card drivers are a bit old.

    Is the link to the latest drivers which stopped in 2007. Download and unzip to a folder, and run the setup file, if you don't know how to unzip download a program called WinZIP, but im sure Windows XP has a unzip feature anyway.

    Also check the CD for the support folder and then DirectX folder. Run dxsetup.exe (the one with a computer icon) just incase you are missing some components.

    I tried both of these solutions, but unfortunately it still did not work, so I am going to call technical support tomorrow. Thank you so much for all of your help though, and thanks for the VIA sound card update, I really appreciated it.

    Ignore the last poster its seems to be an ad bot or something like that, which tries to check for trigger words to make a sentence, all in the hopes of clicking the link in the signature, which you shouldn't do :)
