Puzzle Agent log in and unlocking problem

So this is really weird, i start the launcher like normal and of course it attempts to log in and fails, but when i try to unlock it through either user name log in or serial number it does the same thing. It encounters an error and takes me back to that same screen...BTW,i purchased the back to the future pre-order to get the game...

    Sorry, you must enter a serial number. Please fill one in and try again.
